lanikai
But What About Customs ? Better to know how they ROLL before ordering.. it saves some stress For our newer members (Conus) who are contemplating ordering a rep. but are worried about Customs issues as it is "illegal" to sell or buy Replications. I hope this little guide of what to expect and what not to expect, will help ease your mind when you are contemplating ordering your first rep .. as visions of Customs Agents knocking on your door dance in your head . I will itemize the tracking info so you will understand what is going on with your tracking info ~ 1. You will receive a "Tracking Number" from your Dealer it may be a variation of Alpha's , they have no bearing on your parcel other than a way to keep records of the printing of the Express invoices .. since they are printed in Batches EA EB EH So, your # may look something like this .. EB 55 555 555 CN (CN for China) After you receive your # it usually takes 2 to 3 day's for anything to be posted .. the sender may have a hundred such invoices , so nothing will be posted until after the bar code has been scanned at the local PO. So if you rush to see your tracking the day you receive your Tracking # . you may see this message when you attempt to see where your parcel is. Label/Receipt Number: EB55 5555 555C N There is no record of this item. Why Are You Receiving This Message? 1. Event information may not be available if your item was mailed recently. Please try again later. 2. The number was entered incorrectly. Be sure to enter all of the letters and numbers as they appear on your mailing label or receipt. 2. you need to give it 2 to 3 day's after receiving your tracking number then you will see this: Foreign Acceptance.. where the documents are gathered and Ok'd .. probably the most important item.. the documentation is essential to our parcels reaching us safely. Your Parcel is on it's way... Origin Post is Preparing Shipment Foreign International Dispatch, December 14, 2008, 11:01 pm, GUANGZHOU EMS, CHINA PEOPLES REP Foreign Acceptance, December 14, 2008, 9:12 pm 3. The Parcel has reached CONUS And is now "Inbound Into Customs"... all this is referring to is that the parcel is doing a routine pass through our "Homeland Security" SOP for all foreign mail.. Inbound Into Customs Inbound International Arrival, December 16, 2008, 2:42 am, ISC LOS ANGELES CA (USPS) 4. This is what you wait to see.. DO NOT be alarmed if it takes a few day's to get out of Customs.. at times an abnormal amount of mail will arrive and the documentation needs to be processed. In the event that the documentation is incorrect .. (sender signature missing etc.) your parcel will be held.. and you will receive a letter from Customs, as "Incorrect Invoice" .. and it will ask you if you want to file a invoice .. you must notify customs within 30 day's otherwise the parcel will be sent back to sender. Do not reply !! do not call Customs.. inform your dealer and if he is a "Trusted" RWG Dealer you will receive a replacement. (for those dealers that guarantee delivery) Just throw the letter in the trash.. This rarely happens (it has to me) but if it does this is what you do.. "Nothing" except inform your dealer .. it was not a parcel from China.. and I will not name the dealer as he took care of getting me another right away . If in the event that your parcel has been "inspected" it will have a Green Tape attached to the portion of the parcel where Customs opened it up.. if this tape is not present and the package has been opened then it was not done by Customs.. You will find that parts and straps will be inspected more times than not.. I hope this helps the members just joining the Forum ... it can be very stressful to not know what to expect or freak out when you see "Inbound Into Customs" After awhile you won't even check the tracking (it does arrive faster this way)... and try and remember if your checking every hour nothing will change as the site is updated about once every 24 hours... but that's not going to stop you from checking is it ?? .. it didn't stop me at first.. Live Strong and Wear it Well !! Aloha~Cheers Lani
