swapping 21j movement

I have another question. Would it be possible to swap the 21j movement for an ETA2824-2 ? if not what kind of ETA can be swapped with this asian 21J movement ?

Generally...no Asian movement is a direct swap to an ETA (copy, A7750 or otherwise). Some mods have to be done...broaching hands, cutting dial feet, gluing the dial, new datewheels, etc. You can do it...but don't go in thinking it's a quick in-out job.

Don't necessarily be turned off...it can be done. New handsets can be had, etc...but the general thinking from the experience of the board is that it is generally more of a hassle than it's worth. If you're thinking of going Swiss...go Swiss at the start as the dial will have the proper feet and the hands will be the right size and no issues with holders and spacers. If you want to save a few dollars...go Asian copy of Swiss...run it to the ground or try and get it serviced...if it fails? It's a straight drop-in swap to a gen Swiss.

OR, if you're looking for a fun hobby project like I was, it can be both fun and rewarding to complete. Just take your time and go slowly and it should turn out well. Get familiar with your tools, and make sure you have the correct tools.
