Defender110
hi all and welcome to the forum.. my advice to all newbies to this forum and to watch COLLECTING is this... FIRST find out what brought you to this AWESOME PLACE.. are you... a.)looking for a watch that LOOKS like a GENUINE high end watch to impress all your friends and workmates b.)looking for a less expensive alternative to a GENUINE HIGH END genuine BUT EXPECT GENUINE quality or exactness c.)interested in watches but know nothing about them; how they work, or what they cost, but would like to know more d.)collect watches and horiculture and have a long standing interest(some may say love affair) with watches if any of these apply you ARE at the right place! but beware.. you may have dissapointments! especially if you checked a or b. why? BECAUSE these are REPLICAS NOT the GENUINE ARTICLE. but you also may be PLEASENTLY surprised! Watches are fun and the quality out there today is BETTER THAN EVER. You cannot be a pretender or faker. You will not have fun here and you will have utter diaspointment... you can NOT as the say be a BALLER ON A BUDGET! PALEEZE PEOPLE!!! if you are here NO BALLING ON A BUDGET!!! you cannot sport a high end watch and drive a neon or tempo or FIAT. NO ONE WILL BUY THAT ATTITUDE or believe you anyway. If you checked a or b... BE CAREFULL.. but HAVE FUN! these are REPLICAS and as such they are NOT PERFECT and the quality control is minimal. do NOT invest $$$$ that you are not prepared to lose.. a REPLICA is ONLY SURE TO go DOWN in value! and it may break in 14 days 30 days or 18 months. If you checked a or b.. please spend ALOT of time reading the boards and educating yourself either here or at a QUALITY library or BOOKSTORE also. If you checked a or b.. the best solution for you if you are looking for ONLY A HOLY GRAIL WATCH is to buy the GENUINE(save or charge it) or if you checked a or b but c might also apply... BUILD THAT WATCH.. or have it custom made. Do this by starting with a excellent doner replica.. then add as many genuine parts as you can find: movement, case, strap, bracelet, dial, hands, bezel, pushers... note: be prepared to invest $$$ and time in this experience and more $$$ and more time. Again these are REPLICAS and the have flaws and they will also BREAK, sometimes even sooner than a GENUINE. If you are not prepared to spend $$$ and you also check a or b.. YOU WILL BE A SAD PERSON with much DISAPPOINTMENT. On a personal note: i have many replicas and i have some genuines (NOT NEARLY AS MUCH AS SOME HERE). I have NEVER had a HIGH END genuine though... however i could have more than ONE high end GENUINE for all the replicas that i have.. I have many replicas and many genuine parts, and also some genuines.. I could have MANY genuine TAGS or HAMILTONS etc. for all the replicas and gen parts that i have. The point being that if you are in the a or b group and you also want to "BALL ON A BUDGET" you have come to the wrong place because these are replicas that will never measure up to GENIUNE EXPECTATIONS. Please have fun and start educating yourself about watches and collecting and... WELCOME TO THE FORUM! please feel free to add any comments below.
