After a couple of shakes, it starts up again, when it stops it looks like the seconds hand just lightly shakes back and forth. No its not the power reserve because I was wearing it the whole day prior to this problem. Any suggestions or solutions? Has anyone replaced this movement yet?

lanikai Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 this is not a high tech movement.. try getting in touch with your dealer and see if you can source another movement.. it is a rather inexpensive asian mvmt.

I think there is nothing wrong with your crown. It's the crown tube that's the problem. The thread is too weak because the tube is very thin. Afther a while you can't screw it in anymore. If have three here with this problem..... Anyone else?

I seem to recall a thread on weak/thin BP crown tubes... if that's the case it might be cheaper to fix the crown/tube than replace the mov't....
