This particular dealer offers 18K plated or for an additional $80 14K wrapped. What is the likehood that you will actually get said 14K wrapped from a drop ship seller and is the difference worth $80. Opinions would be very much appreciated. Dizzy Posted January 22, 2009 Report Share Posted January 22, 2009 14kt gold will just wear off slower. Some say that "wrapped" it just a fancy term for THICKER gold plating. Keep in mind that 14kt gold looks different than 18kt gold.. 18kt is more yellow, so 14kt plating might not look right compared to a gen rolex.
