Watchmeister
Been through a couple of them. Here is my most recent one which was transformed into the only 7753 Honpo in existence (compliments of Ziggy). As we speak it sits with another forum member who is thinking about buying it. I may regret that though. And here are some comparison pics of the Honpo versus the stock 7753 187 which is IMHO far inferior:
kenneth2
sweet!!! may i ask what is a 7753 please thanks also what are some of the honpo 187 features that make them so good?
Watchmeister
7753 is the correct movement. Most reps (including Honpo) have an Asian 7750. Aesthetically the datewheel is sunken due to transfer gears to move the date location, the overall date window size is somewhat smaller and placed a little differently on the dial. 7753 has dedicated date pusher on the side of the case. Asian version has a dummy. On Honpo, the case and bezel/markers is closer to gen, etc.
richard lawton
Hi Still got mine, also the honpo version has excellent AR (Number 004) Regards Richard Lawton
kenneth2
thanks for the explanations and photos!! now i can see the difference in the date window and date size also is it true that the honpo 187 bezel has the markers held on with screws?
