flyback Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Hi, I wonder the way straps on vintage luminor are setting down. Tube and screws like the modern one or (i think i'm right) springbars ? I never seen a pic of vintage gen springbars, may be someone can show me ? Thanks !
rmcsherry Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Neither - they used tapered steel bars that were fitted using pressure to the case. Here's the original: And here's my version on a Fiddy case:
flyback Posted February 11, 2009 Author Report Posted February 11, 2009 Thanks for the explanation and pics !
Clint Eastwood Posted February 11, 2009 Report Posted February 11, 2009 Yes like RMC say, only a single bar in steel. You can add a tube, because you can see it on some of gen with this bar Her another pic of gen:

So they shorten the long ones, cut off on both sides and so theres enough length for fixing the strap (thicker straps do not work) cheers Helmut
