slay
I have a Unitas like movement that needs to be fixed in a fiddy case, but its not possible to use caseclamps. What other way do I have to secure the movement in place? WIthout blocking the caseback from being scred down. Thanks
Rocketeer
What size is the movement? Ideally you should try and get a couple of notches or a groove machined at the needed height to allow you to use clamps or screws. If you don't have a local friendly machine shop, notches could be done very carefully with a cutting wheel on a dremel type tool.
slay
the problem lies not within the case, but the movement. there are no proper holes for screws. At least not for screws that would make it able to atttach the case clamps somewhere where they wouldn't interfere with the caseback being screwed down
mikerblade
if its 6497 size movement there normally held in place with a spacer ring in a fiddy case, you could try a WTB as I'm sure somebody will have one lying about
slay
the spacer ring still wont fixate the movement in the case properly, it is still able to move around
