rudi Posted July 29, 2006 Author Report Posted July 29, 2006 what movement have? asian 7750 or swiss 7753? hi, it's a really beautyful watch, not so blinky and has not the old style arabic digits like the 196. very moden art. current asian 7750. next week i become two original swiss made valjoux 7753 direct from a swiss factory. and this comes in. then i know i have a gen swiss made movement in the watch. each pam i have get a original 7750 or 7753. i have a perfect watchmaker near my home. he's one of the last watch-artist. the first test with swapping the movement was the pam212. i love this pam. and from this time i change the movement. the weight of the watch is much heavier with perfect time-keeping. you know, by now it's a watch. rudi

The hole for the date in the dial will be in the wrong place - I know because I have tried it. The only way to convert this watch to a Swiss movt is to use the ETA/Valjoux 7750. The watchmaker will then have to use some of the asian 7750 gears and pinions to make it work. See The Zigmeister's excellent tutorial here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=1410

Finepics Posted July 30, 2006 Report Posted July 30, 2006 or get a new dial...no? Not the easiest thing to do as the dial would have to be specifically for the 7753.
panerai Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 Rudi, Nice watch but it appears the hour sub dial is continually running. I've got the same problem on my 196
rudi Posted August 4, 2006 Author Report Posted August 4, 2006 Rudi, Nice watch but it appears the hour sub dial is continually running. I've got the same problem on my 196 i know for this problem. you have to know that the asian movement is garbage. each pam gets a original swiss made movement. if the work is finish, i start a thread. rudi
