nakortheblue
Opened my SOSF case and saw the "high quality" plastic movement holder. Is this correct for the "ETA" version?
tokei
Best thing to do would be to post a picture of it for confirmation. Not sure for the SOSF, but all my others with Gen ETA have metal movement retainers...
fakemaster
Correct for what? It's a rep. They can come with metal or plastec even with an eta.
andreww
The ETA version should be metal, that's how it's advertised anyway.

RWG Technical
I have seen many plastic holders, it's meaningless in that the holder is designed to hold the movement in place, plastic or metal, no difference and the plastic works just fine... SportsterRider
I hate plastic retainers. They simply don't work as well as a metal retainer that is secured with case clamps. All of mine would allow the movement/dial to move around in the case when setting the time or date. If you have a dial that doesn't have dial feet (my Frankenjust, for instance), plastic is useless.
