tmeister Posted February 20, 2009 Report Posted February 20, 2009 I noticed on my 42mm black bezel version that the springbars were bent after wearing the watch on a nylon strap, waiting for the SS bracelet to return from repairs. Luckily I had a spare set the right size when the bracelet arrived. Anyone have this similar experience and are there better made quality ones out there? I had a set of stronger spare ones but they were too thick to fit....just wondering.....thanks for any replies......
maxman Posted February 21, 2009 Report Posted February 21, 2009 May I ask what kind of repairs are being done to your ss bracelet. I just totaly screwd mine up trying to resize. Removed the link from the lug not the clasp. Far as the spring pins go, you might want to try E bay or Amazon. Google search Omega SM po ? 20mm spring bars. Good luck Mike

Good luck Mike Mike, it must have been a link pin broken, said my friend who sourced the watch in China. He returned it to the factory and got it fixed and sent it back to me. When my watchmaker removed 2 links for me, he used the proper tool for such jobs using this pin system. Tis a small vice like tool with removable diameter heads....he had to use a tiny one, inserted it and slowly screwed it into the link pin hole, pushing out retaining pin in the link. This tool avoids slippage by hand pushing a pin etc into the link pin hole.....
