My Blackbird -purchased last December- has been sitting in the watch box for a month or so and now that I decided to start wearing it, for some reason I am having problems with the date wheel: Dates go from 01 to 14 but then jump to 25. Then go from 25 to 39? and jump to 00 to start all over from 01 to 14 Did you ever have problems with your Blackbird date wheel? Any practical fix / solution / recommendations? It is an amazing watch and I could live with the problem but it would be better to have it fixed. Your imput is welcome. Toadtorrent Posted February 21, 2009 Report Share Posted February 21, 2009 I'm no watchsmith...so hopefully somebody with qualifications will actually correct me...but I'm going to guess that if it's consistent to those dates...it sounds like some teeth might have busted off one of the gears in the date mechanism. lanikai Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 The movement for the Balck bird is moddified for the date window .. unfortunately the maker does not release parts for this issue.. you need to send it back to your dealer and have his watchsmith do the repair .. they are the only ones that can source the modded parts kit.
