mrshagz
Is there any difference in the size? bezel? is it just the date placement? Is there a good rep on the seawolf chrono? The one thing i dont like about the skyland is even though its 45 mm the bezel is so large it appears smaller than 45mm..
TenJed69
The ASC is quartz only (A73390), the AS is automatic only (A13380). The ASC has magnetic pushers, the AS has traditional mechanical pushers. The ASC has a helium release valve which the AS does not have. The ASC is a 3, 6, 9 subdial layout as opposed to a 12, 6, 9 on the AS. The subdials on the ASC have very obvious vertical lines on half of them, on the AS they only the 6 o'clock subdial has lines, and they're very hard to see. The ASC has silver hands, the AS has white plastic ones. The ASC bezel has only full stick markers, the AS has 5 degree numerals and partial stick markers. The ASC has a compass rehaut, the AS has a 100 degree rehaut. The ASC has square lume markers on all the numerals except 12, which has a triangle, and 3, 6 and 9, which have dots. On the AS all the numerals have dot lume markers, no squares or triangles. The ASC has a yachting counter between 11 and 12, this is absent on the AS. The ASC is 40g heavier. The ASC is .6mm thicker. The ASC is brushed, the AS is polished. I think the texturing on the crowns are very slightly different.
siesta181
Thanks TenJen, Wow!!! That's an exhaustive comparison list but I would have made my decision after the first comparison... Given a choice between quartz and automatic watches, I,d take the auto in a heartbeat... but that's just me.

Weird, all that great detailed comparo and the important fact that one is S/S and another Ti was omitted ...and hands on AS aren't plastic, they're painted metal, and has a triangle lume marker @12 o'clock. @Siesta...I originaly thought you were inquiring about diffs between the Avenger Skyland and original Avenger Seawolf Chrono that came with B13 automatic movement, not the SuperQuartz model of late. The rep of the latter doesn't exist yet. Edited March 6, 2009 by babola
