DaniM4 Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 hi guys, when i got my DSSD, i wound it 40 times, when i got home, i synchronized it with the time on my PC. after a day, i noticed the time accuracy is around 30 seconds, based on my PC time. i did not wear it for a day, when i got back to it, it has already stopped. i did the same process but this time i did not wind the watch i just gave it a shake and wore it the whole day after a day, when i checked the time synch, it went down to 5-6 seconds time accuracy. i decided to do the same thing on my sub, also has a 21j movement, and what do you know, it also gave the same time accuracy hehehe i don't know if it applies to every 21j movement just sharing my observation thanks
2005SUBMARINER Posted March 12, 2009 Report Posted March 12, 2009 same thing with my asian dssd , i just replaced the movement with a dg2813 from offerie & she's running eta'ish . good luck , its a dam great watch !
DaniM4 Posted March 13, 2009 Author Report Posted March 13, 2009 thanks btw, when you replaced the movement, did you use the same watchhands? what about the datewheel? sori for too many questions, i'm a nood re mods. thanks again
2005SUBMARINER Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 its a direct fit , exept for the date wheel , you have to swap the old date wheel or old date wheel inlay to the new movement & thats it .. if you search the watch repair section you will find many usefull threads . good luck .
