Noel Fleischer Posted March 22, 2009 Report Share Posted March 22, 2009 Usually, the 18kt. models are thinly plated and cheaper. the 14kt. are 'wrapped' with a thicker gold content. these are reps so i wouldn't expect to get real 18kt. gold. i would go with the 14kt. it will last longer-IMO. Absolutely agree with you, Noel. I have a TT Daytona and a TT GMT, both 14k, and after two years they're still perfect. Then I have a DJ 18kt, and after six months the bracelet alreay had begun to show signs of wear, and there's nothing you can do to repaint it (at least, this is what my watchsmith told me) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
