Guest Sql_pl Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Yes, just some gen pics from the net to help us wait for rep pics from our members... and to hae some comparison. What an amazing watch. Can't wait to see the rep!
Samurai Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 Amazing. Can't wait to get mine... Monday/Tuesday hopefully.
specialvat Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 I m close to buying it, just need to work out how to improve the missing gear issue. I m thinking fastening a dummy wheel to the blank first plate, and perhaps drill holes for dummy screw heads to sit in. The small things always bother me.
veyron Posted March 21, 2009 Report Posted March 21, 2009 I don't understand why the repmaker didn't made a dummy plate for it with fake gear, screws etc. It isn't very hard and makes a huge difference
kenneth2 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 (edited) could someone comment on the size of this watch please is it the same as the usual ROOS at around 42? thanks Edited March 22, 2009 by kenneth2
explorer II Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 If I'm not wrong this is a 44mm case- the typical ROO is 42mm
ratchpot Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 The gen is 42mm, but looks bigger than other ROOs because of the larger pushers.
Samurai Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 My understanding is that the gen RB AP is 44mm

You'd still be left with perlage instead of cotes de geneve finish on the top plate.
kenneth2 Posted March 22, 2009 Report Posted March 22, 2009 any more size comments, need to break a tie
fido Posted March 23, 2009 Report Posted March 23, 2009 any more size comments, need to break a tie I think too the size is 44 mm but accordingto the press released by AP is regulr 42 mm "Cases 18-carat pink gold, grade 5 titanium or 950 platinum Diameter: 42 mm Ceramic bezel and pushbuttons 3D wheel-shaped medallion bearing the inscription Royal Oak Offshore Limited Edition Rubens Barrichello and adorned with the Rubens Barrichello logo Water-resistance: 100 m" best regards
