highoeyazmuhudee
So I have an MBK case and a genuine ETA 2836-2. I'm trying to source a movement holder-ring so it doesnt move about the case. I have one that was for a clone eta and the inside diameter is too wide by about a fraction of a mm and the movement moves about. Anyone know a good place to get a simple piece of brass so I can finish this thing finally? One more thing. Anyone know what the crown stem length should be from tip to tip(minus the crown on) on an eta stem going into a 2836-2 and an MBK case made for a modern sub(euromariner case tube) thanks
stilty
You could try and shim the holder so it doesn't move around. I've done this before to prevent shifting. I used some aluminum duct tape. I cut off a thin strip and use it. it is sticky and you can line your movement holder, then slide it over your movement. this should take care of your problem.
