projectologist Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 A lot of macros plus standard views and comparos at the end. Also some great close-ups of the movement... http://www.network54.com/Forum/246576/mess...7/312K+Up+Close
dluddy Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 One of my favs from the new releases but man is that thing thick...looks like a Steel Drum from the side
projectologist Posted May 2, 2009 Author Report Posted May 2, 2009 One of my favs from the new releases but man is that thing thick...looks like a Steel Drum from the side I was thinking the same thing. I'm hoping a thicker aftermarket strap might help balance that out.
lazarini Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 That was a disappointment to me personally (thickness that is)... I was considering to go all out on this (get a gen) but the thickness is just ridiculous... If it was at 16/17mm it would be superb... Laz
docblackrock Posted May 2, 2009 Report Posted May 2, 2009 Complain all you like about thickness, but last week I was lucky enough to see this in the 'flesh', and I can confirm this thing is a beauty, albeit a voluptuous beauty. For me, a purist's dream if you're looking for a contemporary model - new Manifattura movement, no superfluous complications just the date, silver hands, simple classic dial layout, domed sapphire crystal and the gorgeous pillow-shaped 44mm 1950 case. It's like a hybrid of Monica Bellucci, Rachel Weisz and Scarlett Johanssen
