JadeMonkey
My story, I was clueless and bought a watch from one of the million Chinese websites. When I received the watch, I was thrilled to have such a nice looking watch (IWC big Pilot watch - like the 46mm size) until 45 days later, when the watch stopped working. I rattled the watch a little and it started working again for about an hour. To make the story short, the watch is working on and off when you hit it slightly against the palm of your hand (not always, but sometimes for several hours while sometimes just for a few minutes). I hand winded the watch to make sure there is enough power. The auto function is also working (at least it is turning around with movements). Needless to say my e-mails to that company did not get answered. So, I
Toadtorrent
It likely is a cheap Asian movement that any watchmaker should be able to repair. Just contact small (non authorized dealer) watchmakers and ask if they can do a movement replacement on a generic Chinese movement watch. The movement is likely <$20, and the swap should be <$50. It's not worth servicing because of the cost of the movement. Welcome to RWG.
