Justasgood
Well, nice watch.....I have owned a few. But as I remember, they can't be manually wound....I know, I know, it's an automatic, but there is something about manually winding a watch that I find very soothing. Also, not a sapphire glass although Seiko's Hardlex crystals are very durable and the Lume is great. Personally, I'll take a nicely modded rep sub over the Seiko. After all, if you want a "Sub" like watch......get a "Sub". The key is how happy will you be with whatever you buy. Good luck, kkurt
Cats
If you want a SUB look a like then a nice rep will be the solution. But the Seiko031 is a beauty. Indeed you can't wind the movement but after a few movements of the watch it starts running and keeps great time. The lume is outstanding and much better then the normal rep lume. The a re waterisistaant up to 100 metres. I still got 2 Seiko's and i will keep them becuase they are good looking and function very well Carpe Diem Cats

This means that the Seiko movements do not have a winding position on the crown like many swiss automatics do, the Seiko is designed that way, you just give it a few shakes and put it on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with Seiko, in fact they are the REAL value in sport watches today. With many models under $1000US, they are well built, sturdy, have some of the best lume in the business and are very much collectible. Cheers Edit: If you are thinking of getting a Seiko, make sure it is from a reputable seller since there are apparently rep Seikos' out there in the world.
