shultz
Hi all, as I am new to these AP ROO chronos but familiar with lots of other biiiig reps (you've seen my SA or 6.75 review) I am curious by reading postings like "ROO is wearing big", "it feels bigger than a 44mm panny" and so son. Is it just a personal impression of members with a rather slim wrist or what makes the ROO chronos feeling that big? I am hesitating to go for an AP ROO because I want to avoid a disapointment in relation to the size. Perhaps some owner could post comparision pics eg with the SA or other big reps? Much appreciated
ubiquitous
Two reasons in my opinion- 1) The case is quite a bit thicker, bulkier and has a very chunky feel to it with it's angular lines, etc. With a bracelet, it just FEELS so much heavier as well. 2) The integrated lugs also make the case feel bigger. I am sure there are some other contributing factors to this being the case, but those were the two immediately noticable characteristics that made this one feel bigger than a 44mm PAM for me... 100
Here are some pictures for comparision. The strap / lug system on the Panny can be attach straight down, while the system on the ROO is at an angle, which makes it more wider on the wrist, my observation that is. I can wear the Pam fine, but the ROO is much bigger and wider, at least on the SS, I don't have a rubber or leather to try it out, I am sure it will be less bulky and slimmer but it still not as compact as the Pam because of the angle of the lug. shultz
Wow, many thanks 100! These pics make it clear! I actually own the PAM 196 as well and I've got an impression by watching your pics. Thanks again
MADRED7
Actually the ROO with a bracelet wears "smaller" than with a leather strap due to the strap attachement....this is just a trick to the eye because with a dark strap the attachements do stick out more....bracelet and attachements and case are all the same color and make their appearance more balanced. I wear all my ROO
shultz
Thanks Theo, I can follow but I also can imagine that the bracelet gives the "chunky" feeling to the watch which I am really loving
