  2. I once saw LHOOQ's Seamaster 300 in a wristie thread and I thought damn I gotta have this watch.. I've always been quite much of a franken guy. So far I got 2 watches that are stock reps.. The rest are frankens....But this was definitely the next level. After a few pm's I realized gen was the only way to go. So what shall I do? Buy a gen @ chrono24 ? ............. It's almost a year ago now since I recieved it. This has been such a nightmare of a project but I just wanted to say thank you once again to LHOOQ who helped me at the source of the parts. After I had all the gen parts together I needed someone who's reliable and does great work.. Preferably within the EU. Wiz modded a couple of my watches already and it's always been a pleasure when they arrived. I never had any issues or anything. So a big thank you to you, Wiz ! Thanks for having a look !

  3. Guys, thinking of picking up an H belt from ken (bergies). has anyone here ever done a gen vs rep comparison? Accuracy is important to me, since a number of my friends have the gens. Or are rep belts simply not good enough yet?

  5. the rise of the internet has led to an explosion of SPS, also known as TDD or BPPB in some circles SPS = small penis syndrome TDD = tiny [censored] disease BPPB = baby pee pee bitchazzery

  6. When a factory receives a batch of bad parts, they are used regardless. There will be no good watches until all the bad watches are sold and another batch is run. The bad 10 dssd??? A crooked dial killed a whole dealership .. 45mm UPO with bad dial print spacing??? These 3 example watches did not just go away. They were sold to *someone* who cared a little less than you, then the next factory run fixed the issue.

  7. Mmmh, I cannot warm with this watch. I tryied one on my wrist some months ago while meating some watch-nuts....absolutely not my style.... - too small - too normal - covered rubber strap looks silly on this watch Good replication though...but not my cup of tea. Theo

  8. It's a shame that that happens sometimes. We do close threads sometimes, but only when they get way out of control or way off topic. We invite creative, friendly, vigorous debate here. Just keep the name calling out of it and it's all good Thanks for the rant! Now unfortunately, we have to ban you

  9. depends. Look online and the belt or go to the site and look at side by side comparisons. Generally its hard to tell now a days. Metal molds are pretty cheap. The details are in the leather believe it or not.

  10. Lol. I'm a member of the loupe police now, but my first Pam was a DSN. The case back engravings were lazered on, the lug holes were completely in the wrong spot (your straps would always rub against the case), lume was incorrectly applied (visible to the naked eye), crown guard pin was the wrong shape, AR was blue, crown was tiny, crown guard lever was floppy, strap was laughable. Oh, and the case was completely the wrong material (titanium instead of brushed steel). So basically there was no part of the watch without major flaws. And yesterday, I was complaining to angus about a fleck of dust under the crystal of my AP diver. We're a spoiled bunch.

  11. You should adjust the power reserve indicator, so that it sits at the last line past the "7" Perhaps have the crystal AR'd (although the rep AR is very good as it is). Frankly, with a good aftermarket strap, this watch is among the best reps and would pass as gen any day of the week. Every time I wear my Big Pilot, I get laid.

  12. Ever get the sense we are our own worst enemy? With all the new watch models coming out which we pile into it makes you wonder why they will ever go back and redo an older issue. And with the profitability as bad as it is for the dealers why do they have incentive to stock it?

  13. Sounds great. Try not to get too steamy about this stuff. We are also not communicating clearly enough for me to continue this. Here's my solution: I'll stick to what I know - which is genuine, 1:1 assembly type watches. You are the official authority on everything else.

  17. If it's quartz, the watch will be silent .. place it to your ear. Can you hear it ticking? Also, the seconds hand and the chrono seconds hand will jerk in 1-second movements on a quartz watch, not sweep smoothly.
