Hi, Since their was no thread about it ill start one My problem is really not as bad as many others but I do suffer from reclining hair loss at the temples, not on top. I have thought about going shaved/short and tried it, even my Mother said i looked bad that way so i need to keep my hair if your mom says you look bad you LOOK BAD So i need to keep my hair but to what cost, my reading come up to 3ways 1.pills that makes your [censored] recline like proscar NOT AN OPTION NOT A OPTION TO EVEN TRY 2.hair transplant , really bad options out their FUE and stripe, both being really expensive and seems very hard to get any good results..Also hair cloning is on the horizon in a short time frame so better wait if you can.. 3.hair scalp treatments in different ways but all contains MINOXIDIL. I have chosen option 3 if only to better options comes. If you think about it 48% of all men gone lose significant amounts of hair before age 40, this should be big biz to get something going to help people whit hair loss.. I would love to hear what others think, is it shallow to think about hair loss or is it a legit concern, what's your thoughts?1 point

So today I was at Home Depot. I am replacing a window sill and I had to get some wood cut to size. The gentleman that came over to help me was, shall we say, somewhat "seasoned" in his years, very helpful and very pleasant. He remarked on how he thought it was great a "young guy" like me (I'm 46) would tackle a job like replacing a window sill "everyone these days just wants to replace everything. . .nobody fixes things anymore". As he set up for the cut with the table saw, I noticed something very familiar on his wrist. "That's quite a prize you've got there" I said pointing at his arm. He looked at the bruise mid forearm and said "yeah. I got that restocking. . .you bruise easily when you get old like me". . I said "no-no, your 1680" "my what?" "your WATCH". He glanced at his wrist and smiled a wry smile "yeah, nobody around here can believe I wear a Rolex to work around here" And he looked at my wrist, which was sporting my franken 5512 on Nato. "Neither can I", I said, "you really shouldn't be wearing that around here". He then tell me that he bought it off a friend "years ago". He was always asking his friend "hey Bill, when are you gonna sell me your Rolex?" Then he says one day Bill came to him and asked if he would still buy the watch "you see, Bill had taken his girlfriend on a little vacation and didn't want his wife to find out, so he needed $400 bucks quick to put back in the bank". "You paid $400 for that?" "Yeah, but then I didn't wear it for a long time. I stuck it in my drawer. A while ago, my other watch finally kicked. I was going to buy another watch but then remembered this (looking at his wrist) and whatdoyaknow, a gave it a few winds and she's been working fine ever since". "May I see it?" Sure, he says and slides it off his wrist. It's nearly pristine. A 1680, meters first, red dial, silver date wheel, Top Hat 127 all original fantastic patina. . . I've got a semi going. . .o.k. fine, I came in my pants a little. He then proceeds to tell me when his old watch died he was originally thinking of selling it "you know, get something new. Something better", but that something made him decide to keep it. I told him I was glad he did, but that he should still get a different watch to wear to work. "Yeah, you're probably right, people probably think I make too much money wearing a $400 watch, ha ha" "ummmmm. That's worth a LOT more than $400. . ." "yeah, I guess it's an antique these days, huh? I suppose it could be worth a little more than that now" "Try 15 times more" silence. "ah. . .you're putting an old man on, now. . ." I borrow a passer-by's iPad, log onto VRF and show him. He actually cried.1 point

Case looks good. For a drilled lug hole 16710 shouldn't it be a SWISS-T<25 dial though? Can't recall ever having seen a SWISS MADE dial in a drilled lug hole case.1 point

Hey everyone. The links to the actual reviews weren't working (same case with Breitling & TAG Guides). I have fixed them all now. I have no idea how long they have been broken. But all good now. PS: Does anyone have a good review of the Omega PloProf. I could add it to this guide. Thanks in advance.1 point

Good. No need to spend money at that dealer or any dealer that try to pull a fast one. As teejay said.. its insulting. Last watch i ordered (from another td) i asked for a pic with the watch on a timegraph. I did get that pic. But only showing the timegraph.. not including the actual watch. I give up with thees edealers. I just want to find one who is 90% honest and that td will get all my future business.1 point

This is true!! All my replicas have a genuine dial at least. It looks so much better. Seconds best improbement - and easiest - is a genuine strap.1 point

I am always believer that a gen dial for virtually every watch is the biggest improvement we can bestow on our reps. I have always found that other than the vintage stuff if you are patient they do come up reasonably - especially for IWC . I did it on the SS and Ti GST's and on the 3717. I am probably the only person who bought a gen dial before there was a rep in case they ever came out with one. Still haven't bought the rep but will build this one some day.1 point

In person the rose gold looks great, really solid. As far as the dial goes I have been looking backwards and forwards between the gen picture and the watch and I cannot see any stand out differences but that is my untrained eyes. Unless you overlay two pictures or start measuring with a micrometer I think it is pretty accurate?1 point

So on to finishing the strap. Use the edge tool to take the corners off the top and bottom of each side of the strap. Take your edge tool, wet the edges of the leather and rub back and forth vigorously to heat and seal the edges. It's looking good but it needs some stitching weight. Maybe this thread would work on a dress watch strap with smaller stitch spacing. Again any suggestions or insight from the professionals is welcome!1 point

Well when you get to over forty you start to look at ways of keeping yourself looking as young as possible! I therefore went to our local 'Boots' store and looked at L'Oreal's Men Expert range, which seemed very good, but very confusing! What I want after was a moisterizer, something to reduce wrinkles and remove the bags/dark lines under my eyes (I know, not enough sleep!). However, they seem to do all sorts of mixtures of one or the other, then a mixture of both, and to be honest I didn't know what ones to buy! Any advice, ideas???1 point

I picked up one of the Timex with sweeping second hand recently. (In a batch of watches.) Eventually managed to get it running. I have had it for sale in my market shop with no interest at $100, so they are obviously worth (a lot) less than that! Just a curiosity IMO. Offshore1 point
