Exactly.With small adjustment: They hate us because they think we cheat. Unfortunately, in reality the cheaters are the watch companies selling the original watches for unrealistic price. I think that those gen owners who hate reps are taking themselves too seriously and are defining themselves by "things". We all do it to an extent, but there is a clear line where you are willing to spend thousands of dollars on a product and hate anyone who's not willing to do so.

Dings always bother the first couple of times they happen with a minty watch, within a few months you won't even care about them, it's a good sign that the watch is being used as it should be and not sitting pointlessly in a watchbox. As said above that one would be easy to refinish a little to tone down the marks if they are really a bother.
