The closed cased references the Omega reps from the past where the case was very similar to the gen. The HE valve was in the correct spot and the crown guards were very good. The Bond 007 not only had these characteristics, but the pearl was spot on as well. We say closed because the factory that produced them got shut down (hence "closed" in the description) years back. Its a shame that these models never resurfaced with the newer factories, especially those that make the POs. BTW - you got pics of the one that you bought? They are, especially with the gen dial....which i had two and sold .1 point

Really sorry to hear of this situation, my friend As mentioned above, families are funny things... Family is very important to me, it is the central theme to the bodysuit which I have planned, and every major blood relative (including inlaws, a step-cousin and my four best friends) is having an individual reference. However. I have a cousin who, despite listing myself and my wife as cousins on facebook, hides all her posts from us so we cannot see them/comment upon them... As a result, we've done likewise, and I'm happy to simply ignore her, although of course, she still gets the place in the suit, as family is Family... Equally, I have an uncle who took umbrage when I befriended one of his exes, and warned me what a toxic individual they are. While I would agree that they are a very selfish, self-indulgent and pretentious individual, I would not say they were actually 'malicious', just misguided. When he and my step-aunt then re-friended this individual, I was offended by their hypocrisy, but remained silent on the subject. For several years, my brother in law and father in law were estranged, and he and I never even spoke. More recently, bridges have been rebuilt, and while we're not best friends, I can at least say I have a brother in law, without adding "who's an asshole..." afterwards... I guess all I'm trying to say, is as hostile as your kids might be at the moment towards their granddad, in time, they will come to understand your actions. As above, maybe put them up in a motel till bridges can be rebuilt, if them being in the home would cause tension, but make it clear that you're not kicking them out, simply trying to do best for all. Whatever beefs they may have with their granddad should be conquerable, it's just a case of going about it the right way1 point

Very nice gesture by admin btw. The reason I like/love RWG Is because It's just a cool [censored] place to hang out. I feel that any forum..be It a car/ watch/ health/excersise etc reflects upon the person or people who own It. Many forums are overly saturated with moderators..or forum police.... and one Is constantly under a microscope for every little thing they might or might not say or do. I really believe a lot of these types get off baning people. I guess It gives them a sense a power. Although these folks do have authority... many of them abuse It. I wont put up with such nonsense....big waste of time In my book. You really have to [censored] up to get baned here.... ripping someone off for example. Just use some common sense and decency and all will be good. I was looking to buy a gen PO. But I saw some reps that looked really good at a fraction of the price. But I read that many of the pictures were of the real thing. No wonder they looked so good. So I did a google search for "repilca watch Information". Didn't want to get ripped off on some piece of [censored] that probably wouldn't work. Three names came up first. I don't remember the order but they were RWI/ Rep Geek and RWG. No disrespect to the other forums. I checked all of them out and decided this(RWG) would be where I looked for the dealers that could be trusted. After spending a few hours here the trusted dealers list was the last thing on my mind. I was overwhelmed by the Incredible knowledge that was here. I guess what even Impressed me more was the willingness of these members sharing such valuable Information. All I could keep thinking was... "these people really know their [censored]". I became a supporting member the next day and have never looked back. I have met some awesome people here. Some I plan on meeting In the very near future. Also the generosity that I see here really does restore my faith In humanity. Believe me.....sometimes It needs restoring. RWG Is really much more than just a replica watch forum/community. I think this thread alone proves just that as a fact. People like to have fun and just kick back and relax. This Is especially nice after a long day of bull [censored]. Some days I just want to read or tell a joke..or post a silly video or picture. Other days I want to see some T&A. Most days actually. So a big thanks to the owner/admin/crew members for giving us this wonderful place to have fun learn and help others If possible. For Christmas we usually have ham/ roast beef and turkey. I especially like the the turkey. I really don't care abut carving It... but I Insist on stuffing It. Happy holidays everyone. Mike and his turkey. gobble gobble bitches1 point

I was ecstatic to say the least to have the package come in the mail yesterday. It truly is a wonderful experience to have The Zigmeister service your watch. Since it is by appointment, your watch has a time slot as to when it will be worked on. It is very efficient so that you are not waiting months on end for your watch to get back to you. I sent out the watch on June 25th and it arrived on July 23rd. This watch is the v3 or v1.5 SuperOcean Heritage which I purchased from another member on here. This is how it looked when I got it: Look at those lume dots as they cam from the factory. Eew! I had originally thought of getting a gen dial and swapping this out since it is the tell-tale sign of the watch. But because of the advice of many people on this forum (special thanks to krpster for advice and the review he did on his own SOH) I decided to have the dial and hands relumed. SO...I contacted the zigmeister an 'lo and behold, there was a slot available! Needless to say, I jumped on it knowing that The Zigmeister is highly regarded in this area. Communication was great and it was such a seamless transaction. I am definitely going to have work done again in the future for my UPO. For those needing work done, don't hesitate with The Zigmeister, truly awesome work. Thanks again! Now, the unveiling of the new and improved SOH...enjoy! Nicely packaged in a styrofoam container: Bubble wrapped inside: Very well packaged: Ta-da..! Need another look? Want more? Let's see it again... Before: After: Thanks The Zigmeister and much love to the rwg community! -D1 point

Well this one just arrived yesterday, in different packages and then it was a long night at the bench modding and putting it all togther, my way. Like a 78 rail dial (the MBW serial number matches for that year just about) A bit like this one here but newer and better As you all know i like my watches to look new ish or old but well looked after, and in particualar usable all the time. I had been collecting parts for this one for a few months and as soon as I had all the major parts I had to get to work on it, in particular I wanted the He valve to look real, Now i had toyed with the idea of making a gen style one on the lathe but then I thought it is a rep it will never be asked to work as I will never be in a helium rich over pressure enviroment so what could I do just to make it look different (and to be honest i dont think i have) I drilled out the old He Valve area in the MBW case and then turned a 1.65mm plug of SS, polished and domed the top and glued it in to the case so that it was more recessed then the MBW, well my wife cant tell the difference from before and after the two hours work, ( have you ever tryed to drill on top of a dome dead in the center) What do you think? Any difference? A gen for comparison Any way the rest of the build and parts used Modded MBW old school case with:- Lugs drilled, gen spring bars Modded CGs Modded He Valve area Gen Tube and Crown (need a new crown as the threads are on the way out on this one) Clarks T39 crystal (and this is pretty damn close to the gen T39 service crystal) ETA 2846 21600 movement, just serviced, MBW silver DWO, with Hacking lever added (quick set date still fitted) Ingod Rail Dial relumed by me (not my best work i have to admit) TC hands (and wow are these close to gen and with great lume, fit and ETA perfectly) Currently on 503b endlinks with a 6248 clasp and 7021 links, but it looks fine from the out side, all polished to remove the sharpe edges, cleaned rebrushed and re cleaned for that silky feel like prom queens thigh! Now i just need to improve that pearl, pick up a 93150 josh bracelet and get a new crown and let it age on my wrist So some more pics I know it is not the right case back but oh well The photo all the purist will hate but this is a comparison with my gen 1680 with lumi dial And finaly the wrist shot I would like to than the following people who help with this build in selling, or donating parts TC, DenimHead, Highoeyazmuhudee, My wife and all of RWG for the knowledge i have learnt over the past 8 years to enable me to complete this work. I'm trying to find a set of gen. 557B endlinks. Anyone have a source? Or could I, or has anyone ever, modified a set of 557 endlinks to have the recessed notch for springbars? I have a no holes case so need the 557B endlinks. Thanks!1 point
