  1. why has no one said this... buy the rep. the PO. take the $1500. travel to London? or maybe instead, rent a limo to take you and your GF to a fancy hotel room for a night? champagne on ice? or spend $100 on driving say an Aston Martin around a racetrack? either way, you'll feel more like James Bond doing any of those things with a rep on your wrist than being broke + rocking a gen Omega. I promise you, after a bottle of champagne in your room at the Ritz (or the W, the Four Seasons, whatever) your GF won't be scrutinizing the rehaut space on the rep.

  4. you ask people here but most of them are bigger addicts themselves =). but i sold all reps years ago and didnt buy any since then my advice just by looking at it: try to sell all watches except the omega and rolex datejust (only ones with sentimental value) and spend the money on something has a better cause than addiction and money sink. like something can improve the quality of your life. control and balance is power.

  7. Thank you! I ended up going with trusty time, I bought the asian Rolex Sub; I figured before I go ahead and buying the swiss model I'd like to first see what his product is like. I emailed Trusty Time & they told me the only difference from the swiss and Asian model was the movements. So with that being said If I like the style of the Asian I can buy the Swiss green face model. - I know the blueface subs are the 2008 models.

  8. welcome. I hope you stay i while! the trusted dealers i usually buy from is ; http://www.1-pc8838.com/index.php joshua, perfect clones http://www.ttw168.com/ andrew, Trusty time http://www.puretime.co/ angus, Pure time this post is somewhat contraproductive, as you really should browse this forum and read up ALOT about different models/versions/general information and choose your dealer. there even is a trade section here in the forum. - 2nd hand watches. ps: there are other great trusted dealers on this forum, but as i have no 1st hand experience with them, i only list the ones ive dealt with. Use the search-function (top right corner of the page). Every possible question you might have regarding your first buy have been answered before. cheers Miagi

  9. So you have a different opinion on the A7750. No problem! But I see no reason to discard my post as 'crap'. I took the time to share my thoughts with the rest. What have you contributed to this forum my friend?

  10. Don't forget to add the fact that the date wheel mechanism is actually a better design on the Asian version and does not have the same issue as the ETA one when changing the date between 10pm and 2am. Quite an ingenious design actually. Surprisingly the Asian's seemed to have improved upon a swiss design flaw!

  11. cheers! they cost a fair bit to build but i had more pleasure putting them together than buying one from omega. the silver dialed speedmaster was made using nos case and dial from watchco. the panda used a nos but used case i bought from thebay, dial was from a member here in the rep community. can't remember the actual model of the tissot but i think it's prs512 or something. bought them at about 300. the silver speedie cost about 1300, the panda was less than 1k. i think.
