  1. Just picked up my 16014 case from one of the many small precision engineering workshops we still have operating here in Sheffield, lug holes drilled for Gen spec spring pins. Amazing to see what these guys can still produce, from one off's to full production runs. Its got me thinking......

  2. Hey RWG ! Just received the 2 final pieces of the puzzle today... Can't resist to show you some quick dirty pics - the projects will be finished soon... It will be f*king awesome (at least) Quick side note : is Rolex just stupid, or someone can explain me why a NOS 800 crown don't fit a NOS 8000 tube ? Just like NOS 702 crown and 7020 tube. Very boring if you ask me... Next time I'll use aftermarket pieces - at least they fit together... Just kidding => Lesson learned Cheers ! R.

  3. I would like to give mike on a bike the proper credit and thank you for his work on a ongoing problem we are having with a scammer on here. He has very little at stake on this matter but yet he is trying to help at least 15 members that have been scammed by this member a so called great guy as some delusional members on here feel that he is. Mike on a bike went out of way in his efforts, he is helping us pursue this scammer in a legal way. By mike on a bike helping us some members on here called him a lair when in fact he wasn't. Turns out our little angel scammer is more than a thief but I'm sure it all his other problems will come out. Hopefully all of mike on a bike work and efforts to help us works out. I just would like the mods to make this scamming member (the angel that he is)be banned from here and i would like it publicly done so we all could finally see that this piece of garbage oh wait, i meant the angel is seen for what he is. Im not going to bother to mention his name because he's a piece of garbage but most of you would know who I'm speaking of.

  6. Seems strange nobody's mentioned that they had to drop the movement down from 28.8 bps to 24.6 (or was it 21.x??) because the co-axial couldn't' take the higher beat rate. Easier, I guess to make it run slower so it would last longer.

  7. It seems to me that whilst someone in Omega recognised this as a big advancement in escapements, changing just this is only a small step in the evolution of the movement as a whole. And sadly, the marketing people have heard about it and are blowing the (real) advantages out of all proportion, e.g. the "Co-Axial" movement branding, etc. So the co-axial excapement itself is real and a brilliant idea, the advertising and Omega marketing crap surrounding it is stupid.
