Since there doesn't seem to be a section for repair reviews (Am I missing something?)I wanted to add my accolades for our valued member misiekped. I sent him one of my reps that was not at all stable, along with a new movement, as the one in the watch was and A something!! probably one of those clone of a clone movements. I bought a new Seagull movement off Ebay from a seller in Portugal, sent it all to misiekped, and he did the movement swap and regulated the new movement. I wore it for four days last week, put it in the watch box yesterday, wore a different watch to work, got home put the other one back on, and checked it with the atomic clock app on my phone. After almost 5 full days, the watch was 1 second slow!! not that he could do that with every movement, because some of our movements just cannot be adjusted to that rate, no matter how much you try. However I truly believe that misiekped will do everything in his power to make sure that you get your watch back in as good a condition as humanly possible.

Yes, I have seen the posts, I am sorry to say. On the other hand, the posts about the garbage being sold as Swiss movements are not consistent with my personal experience, but that may be because I have bought a few reps over the years, mostly from the same TD, and I would be very surprised if he sold me anything that was not as he described it to be. In addition to these Rolexes, I have Pams, Omegas, Breitlings, etc. Over the years, I have developed good reason to trust my "Trusted Dealers." I've had many of my watches worked on and I've yet to be told my "Gen Swiss Movement" was actually some sort of cloned junk. The GMT 2893s, ETA 2836s, Lemania, and 6497 movements have always been legit. We also have guys who hand build their products, many of whom have come and gone over the years. It would be hard for me to imagine them risking their reputations by pawning off junk as Swiss. I've never dealt with TC (Thomas Caddell), but I have read much of his published work, and I suspect that the recommendation by someone responding previously was a good one. Still, sad to say, many of our members that I consider to be perfectly credible have complained that they have not gotten what they paid for from dealers on this Forum, so a newbie may very well have something to worry about these days. If people were to accept the facts which have been presented on numerous occasions, rather than folks trying to justify the dealer's actions, then I would not be so condescending... As mentioned above, I would not want to buy anything from either of them, so am missing out on absolutely nothing.
