  1. Clark's hand looks spot on but that could depend on the angle from the which the pic was taken. Alligoat: Does the minute hand reach past the minute marker? TC hands: Perfect for a 16610 build, not so for a 1016. Would he accept crafting a set with different specs upon an order of, say, 100-150 pieces? I (empirically) doubt it as he is too involved with his project but I'd love seeing this happen anytime soon! Droptopman rules! Your mention about JoeyB got me on the right track: http://www.rwgforum.net/topic/132246-using-a-2836-as-a-base-for-a-small-hand-gmt-project/?hl=joeyb#entry971552 Unfortunately this is a GMT hand and not a minute hand but from a conceptual point of view there's no difference as far as I can see upon my very limited knowledge of such things. I'm off sawing my TC hands!

  2. Honestly, PerfectKicks has the best reps I've ever seen. They do their research and actually fix all the flaws on other rep companies shoes and then release their version, which most of the time are so close that even if you have a legit pair right next to them, it's almost impossible to tell. Their Instagram page has a ton if in-depth pictures and reviews @perfectkicksnet. On the flip side, if you want to see flaws on other releases, check out @fake_education. PerfectKicks actually reviews their comparisons and fixes all the flaws the guy points out before putting out a final release. I'm pretty green on the rep shoe game, but like I said, am a big authentic shoe guy with 30+ pairs of authentic Jordans, 6 pairs of authentic Ferragamo's, and about 10 pairs of Cole Hahn's. I've yet to see better "fakes" on shoes than PK.

  3. occb2 it was certainly a pleasure meeting you also and Frank brought a mother load of of watches , but he always does! It was great turn out with 11 of us there all the boards were present including big Vinnie's wife Victoria who looks very kindly on our little hobby. Now a few pics of the crew in our private room unfortunatly I was only one with camera so no real good pics of watches (or me LOL!), you had to be there anyway. Frank came in with 29 in two massive boxes! Left with less as the guys bought a few. Including Vinnie, as I said Victoria is a peach. Well as you can imagine not to be out done I loaded up few bags full..................... And of course our raffle watches attended. OK here we are.................

  4. There are many crooks in the vintage Rolex business, I for one have been burned badly twice, once for a few hundred and the last time for 5k + one of the guys was Steve Mulholland who scammed a lot of people and to the best of my knowledge is now in Jail. There is also a well known guy (I won't mention his name for obvious reasons) but if you look at all his watches he has for sale the patina is perfect on every piece, this guy swears they are untampered with which is [censored]. I called him out years ago and was banned from a well know forum of which I also won't mention the name. This [censored] is still selling and idiots are still buying a la John Mayer style. 6. Yuki has gen hands to match. Unusual project but if you like it , that's all that matters. I built a 666 from all gen parts once. Ntg like a gen MK1 matte 666 dial. Dial alone was $3k. But I'd pay that again in a heartbeat. I take it this was the look you were goin for.

  7. These are the v1 version of the TC hands. I don't mind the length, but would probably upgrade if a proper length hand was readily available.

  12. A friend of mine offered to take photos for me with an actual camera instead of my iPhone, I just got the pics from him and wow, big difference! I'm definitely going to get a light box and basic camera so I can do it myself. I love Jacek's pics (gen dealer) and hope to be able to get them to look like his one day. These are done by a friend who has a second hand watch store in town.

  13. I finally got my 6265 daytona complete and returned to me. It cost a lot and took a fair amount of time to get it right but it was worth it. Special thanks to Valty, thank you sir, I couldn't have done it without your help! Specs are v726, phong mid case and case back, gen pushers, gen crown/tube, gen bezel, gen sd t21, gen big red dial and gen tritium hands, gen 571 ends and 78350 band. I will add a few more pics when I have time to take more, here are a few from today.

  18. I feel like it looks right, I'm done fiddling with it. It's as gen looking as its going to get imo until the case gets a little more natural wear to it.. Few years of wearing and polishing ought to do the trick. Thanks Nanuq and Vibramute. V, the dial is from my dial maker, pm me for his info if you like, I agree it's a nice dial!
