  1. After a few days I've installed again the original rubber strap in the blacksteel. Now I'm sure it is the best option, the blacksteel calls for a completely black strap. And I missed a lot, really a lot, the capability of taking a shower with the watch in the wrist, and coming out as clean as myself.
  2. Hi friends, I saw the proposal from our loved master lanikai - a Skyland Blacksteel dressed in a black with red stitch strap, matching the small red numbers of the dial (is from HK Tan) - and I have tried the black croco I have (black with white stitch matching the hour numbers). I think the combination is terrific.
  3. Your desires are orders for me, Master. Here you are some more posters, this time a little smaller. By the way lacenta is a spanish dealer.
  4. Hi master lanikai, thanks for your words and for the advice. As I'm a complete disaster using the sand paper I'm afraid to screw all the band, so I've been pushing the rubber firmly and now it has sit completely. My opinion is that the older rubber strap is softer and more comfortable, but this smells as vanilla, very sweet. Regards Condemore
  5. I sold my Breitling Skyland grey face to a colleague to make room for the Blacksteel. I've just received from lacenta and ... what a watch!! It's stunning and the replication is very well done. The only issue I've found is that it comes with a new rubber strap that doesn
  6. I thought I was going to pass on the BP but after some reading I ended buying this from rolex2u. (Funny decision, a watch I'm not sure I like from a dealer I have no much info).Prices and communication OK, but transaction took 14 days coming thru registered airmail. In real, the watch is gorgeous and I like it a lot, very very much, but today, by chance I saw the original in a AD and the 5004 gen is another play of purity and extreme elegance. I hate the pics of the dealers because you never see cleraly how nice or well made is the watch. With this photos I try you to see the real thing.
  7. Kruzer, thanks for the explanation!! I'm feeling a little sorry for making this joke: all pics are from the same and only fiddy I have and, believe or not I took all pictures during the same sesion in less than 15 minutes. Condemore
  8. Pardon me, let me illustrate that: Or better in black leather?
  9. Every body talks bad things about the rep croco straps. I should be a person without a bit of taste because I really like a lot with every watch I try. In this case the strap brings some joy to the serious Blackbird......
  10. I'm seeing a lot of action around the GMTII ceramic. Some people say they don
  11. Terrific review, Mr. Lanikai. You have sold me in a watch I hadn't gaven it any attention so far. Excellent pictures and "feelings" well explained. I'm going to look at the 5004 in detail also to see if I like more. Thanks again for this and other reviews. Regards Condemore
  12. This one came from Joshua at Perfect Clones. See more pics of the BB in the links. Regards Condemore
  13. Hi Dave, my friend. I'm not sure I fully understand your reply. I assume you are saying that the BB results with black dive.... In fact I have a thread saying the same, although I think the bracelte is king for the BB.
  14. With this last one I end up determinig the definitive strap for each of my Breitling (see other threads). The Skyland grey dial will live with the brown croco with deployant (25 votes for the brown vs 19 for the black). The bracelet also fits nicely but being so plished it tends to saturate me. The blue SFSO, without any doubt, is with the black rubber, not the blue. And this is the one and only combination possible, no leather, no ss, no croco. The Blackbird has worn everything and everything suits nicely, but it has been born for the SS brushed bracelet. With it, the BB reachs his true character. Also, in my opinnion, that is teh best looking bracelet of the 3.
  15. I had parked my SFSO some weeks ago and suddenly I've discovered the reason was I was fed up of the night blue starp from Bob (Waccex). Something irrational I know, but prevented me to chose that como any more. I've installed the black rubber and it's now the one I tend to choose in the first time everyday since. My whole arm Fantastic, isn
  16. Good name, "siesta", hmmmmm. I'm using the cheaper Nikon lens.... 50mm f1.8 but on a Nikon D80, a DX camera (it converts to 75mm focal lenght). Regards Condemore
  17. I have the Skyland with grey dial. I've wearing it in ss bracelet. I've try sometimes the leather rep straps, but I always return to install the ss. I received 2 croco rep straps with deployant, one black I asked for and one brown I received by error. I've tried both in the Skyland and I like them both. But I can
  18. This is my first PAM. I liked it because the big size, the domed crystal and the sandwich dial. I bought it to Deltick, from USA, in a wonderfull transaction, the best I've ever done. Shipment and envelope was first class and comunication with him a real pleasure. This has saphire glass but asian movement and not high canon pin. Watch is big, very big for my standard, but surprinsgly it fits my wrist quite nicely. In real, I like it a lot, and is a photographic marvel. If I do not have more than 100 posters of it I don
  19. This pictures are different from the habitual ones I take. They have a greater level of abstraction and simplification. They are not intended to view the watch in standard conditions. Still they are taken with natural light, without flashes, strobes or tripod.. This is the one I consider my best watch photo at the moment.
  20. I see some consensous in that the combo results. I'll keep the brown because Angus has been so kind to send the black one (without a new deployant) and to allow me to keep the brown also for the inconveniences. I do not hesitate to recomemmned this rep strap and to do business with Angus. Now I will have to buy a matching belt and boots Conde.
