  1. The process of making gold filled would not be condusive to making watch parts. Gold filled is the process of taking a sheet of gold and bonding it through heat and pressure to a base metal. The minimum standard is 1/12 of the final product to be gold either 10, 14, or 18kt. Pocket watches were done this way as it was a fairly simple domed case. A gold filled pocket watch would state it was a 10 year or 25 year case. A solid gold pocket watch would say lifetime case.

  2. Just posted a message about the Omega auction, but Antiquorum in Switzerland is probably the premier auction house for high end time pieces. That would be your best bet. eB*y would be a waste unless you sell the watch on consignment through someone like Jeff Hess (Hess File Arts). If you belong, the NAWCC also runs a sales market. Since it is a Cartier, you might try to get in on one of Sotheby's general jewelry auctions. Hope this helps.

Was just in Dallas partying with Jeff Hess. He is the man. Wrote the book on Rolex and is president of Ball Watch CO. Great guy known him for years.

  3. I buy a lot of bands from him. They are mostly Hadley Roma Bands which are excellant quality. Had a size problem with a deployment clasp and he took care of it quickly. He is not in SW Florida he is on the east coast above FT Lauderdale. His name is Rich.

  4. Ok here we go. Please note I am in no way a photographer so it is disapointing.

I should have a photographer to do this...I'm doing it in full auto mode as I don't know where to change the Fxx on this camera!

I read from a member that it need F11 and I see F3.5 on my control screen.

    I use a Sony Cybershot DSC-H2.

    Sorry I can't do better.

  5. Actually I just cut and pasted that from one of his listings a couple of minutes ago. He is still on probation. It was Sash that was removed.

Here is a pic of the movement from the watch that I received. You decide. A Lemania or the Asian Bullet Proof Version, hardley, Looks like the low beat Asian 7750.
