  1. I reported them to E-bay and then PMed the seller telling him that I knew they were fake and that I was reporting him to E-bay and Omegas legal department There down now
  2. It's not a matter of being "willing" it's a matter of being forced by market pressures. Imagine if nobody would accept your insurance. I'm just saying this is a guy who did 8 years of college, 3-4 years of residency, and can get sued and lose it all in a moments notice. I think he earned more than $7. Hell, if I can find him I'm gonna go give him a twenty spot because I feel guilty. I was trying to inject some humor into this! Somebody screws up a watch, worst case they pay to replace it. I have a lot of respect for guys who do mechanical work. I would love to be able to work on my own watches and my best friend is an auto mechanic who owns a shop. Like I said, worst case you buy a new one. Like the saying goes; "It's not brain surgery".
  3. I'm not a Cadillac fan but find the new CTS-V pretty sweet. It's a nice car but it is not a 0-60 in 3.5 in stock form, most put it at 4.3-4.6. Still damn fast but even the 2009 with 550 HP and 550 lb/ft of torque is in the 4.0 second range. Not to take anything away from your car, still love it, but you almost had me wanting to run out and buy one.
  4. Not to jump in, I just thought I would lighten the mood I do exactly that, it's called medicine. I charge a fee, your insurance company says "no, we are willing to pay this" and there is nothing I can do. Case in point: I had an x-ray of my hand, the radiologist charged $24 to read it. Now mind you this is to pull up the film of a very complicated part of your body. Look at the whole thing because he has to comment on ANYTHING he sees on the film, even if it's not what is being looked at. Then dictate a report on it and hope he didn't miss anything that he may get sued for. And what did my insurance pay him on what I thought was a more than reasonable $24 bill? 7 freakin dollars!! So what am I saying? Get watch insurance
  5. Josh was supposed to have one ready the end of Jan. Last time I talked to him it still wasn't ready. I imagine Andrews' is probably coming from the same maker.
  6. Wow, I'm not a Rolex guy, just dropped by here to read some new stuff for a change and fell in love with that! Where can I get one, place we in line with the rest
  7. I don't mind so much if it means higher quality reps or a larger variety of them but on the other hand, I would order a BUNCH more if they were cheaper... I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not Besides, how much mark up do you think there is on a gen for Gods sake. It's like anything, the orginal guy who invented a wristwatch should have been a millionaire, everyone else just took a good idea and improved upon it. Heck, if you gave me a book I couldn't build a simple clock that fit in anything smaller than a closet. It's like 3 of the 10 highest paid executives in the city I live in all work for the electric company, it's not like they discovered elctricity or anything. They took a successful business that everyone needs and didn't run it into the ground. Wow, so what? Exit my rant Eric
  8. OK, since we're dreaming... I so want a good monaco, any variety, any color, just a really well done one Bring out some classics, old Heuers, Zeniths, what have you A super-rep of the speedmasters, and oh dear God, a flightmaster
  9. I'm no Omega master but I do own a gen of the display back moon watch like the second item listed. The first item looks like it has a moonphase dial at the 12:00 position, that wouldn't be right for a moon watch as far as I know, not in the 2007 catalog. For what it's worth
  10. Item was removed, please ignore! Can admin remove post please?
  11. Hello all, I am new to the forums and came looking for an ultimate planet ocean rep, which I am going to buy very soon, but I thought I would like to pick up some others that I always wanted. My wife got me a watch case for christmas and I have 11 unfilled slots in it - time to fill it up My wife just got me a gen Omega Moon and I have several other gens as well but can't justify buying 11 other to fill the case. My other gens are a TAG 1500 professional, an Omega Geneve, and a MOMO designs chrono. Anyway, I am looking for a good or great Monaco rep, I prefer the working sub dials so I can live with a quartz. I do not like the gulf one and prefer a blue or black face. Can anybody point me in the right direction or recommend a place. I have looked at several of the reviewed dealers and am not real impressed with ahat I have seen. Help me before I go crazy and try and buy a gen and end up divorced! Thanks in advance for any help Banshee35
  12. I have always wanted a gen and my wife bought me one as a wedding present. You might be able to tell why I married her, but she got my watch money as a ring so I think it's only fair It is a classic design that holds alot of history and will always look good. I sometimes play with the idea of getting some extra case backs and faces in case I ever want to change the look. I saw a 50th aniversary one this weekend and liked it alot...hmmm
