  1. What else can be modded? Nothing. It is a great watch Flav. And that is pretty much what I have done to my 005 and 036. Now, if the reps can have better fonts and size for Officine Panerai on that engraving, it really would be perfect. Please do post pics when you have the gen, versus the rep. That would be a great thread.

I second that motion! Great watch. If you decide to sell it I'm sure it won't last long on the boards.

  2. The "He" valve is a bit low, the case back is a bit too deep, and the bracelet uses screws instead of pins. Some have clasp issues as well but all in all I think the current SMP reps are excellent for the money. I actually let mine go to a good friend a couple of weeks ago because it never got worn. I prefer the SMP Chrono which I wear quite often.

As for the new Co-Axial Movement SMP I do hope they rep it soon. Even with the above listed flaws I would still purchase. The red on the spices it up just enough for me. Plus its an excellent choice if you want a sporty watch but would like to wear it with a suit or dress shirt. It fits so close and comfortably to your wrist.

Not to mention its of course the watch that Bond prefers!

    Cheers!

Edit: Oh yeah yeah yeah forgot to add the bezel pearl on the SMP is off. The bezel pearl on the SMP Chrono is excellent. If they could add that to the new SMP I would be even more delighted!

  3. Compared my Ultimate BCE to a Gen yesterday. The concentric circles are definitely there on the rep but don't appear quite as noticable. Also noticed a few other minor things.

The bezel markers at 12,3,6,9 are slightly larger on the rep.

The Bezel pearl is actually a bit larger on the rep.

The Breitling logo on the dial is a bit more defined on the gen.

The date font is much more bold on the gen.

Very very slight differences in the clasp thickness but hardly noticable.

All in all the differences are very very subtle. The owner of the Gen, my good friend, was amazed at the quality of the watch. He felt the weight and only noticed the logo on the dial on his own. I noticed the rest of the differences myself. Of course I told him up front mine was a rep so he knew immediately to look for flaws. Had I not told him he may have never noticed them.

    Cheers!

  4. In the Breitling owners manual for the calibre 13 movement (ETA 7750) it stated to manually wind the watch at least 40-50 turns before wearing the watch. I always do this with my Asian 7750s and don't have any power reserve issues. I have however had a couple asian 7750s that would not always wind on my winder. When wearing on my wrist they always kept up but for some reason my winder wasn't doing the job. Still don't know why this is. Possibly the angle or I just don't have the winder running frequently enough for the needs of the watch. Very strange though because I can wind it the initial 40-50 turns, throw it on my wrist, and wear it for weeks with no power reserve issues. Just doesn't like my winder for some reason.

    Good luck!

  5. As a sacrafice on my part and a service to the RWG community I will take all of the Asian 7750's. Please email me and I will, as a service to the community. dispose of all the Asian 7750's.

Just trying to do my part ;)

I'll second that offer. I'll even pay shipping for each! Send me all your Chrono's people. :thumbsupsmileyanim:
