TeeJay we meet again
I agree about the moral issues, it was just an eye opener for me and something i had never really associated with the rep watch industry ( kids losing arms etc... pulled at my heart strings i guess)
That is why i never wore the reps out of the house, i didnt want questions etc... I think a large portion of people with reps would pass them off and are using them as quasi status symbols or status builders.
Each to their own and i still will enjoy reading the rep forums etc...
I would also be interested in this article as I wear my reps jus as Lanikai..to fit the ocassion. Like choosing my clothes in the morning, I choose arep accordingly.
I have heared frightning stories about childlabour in India in the "normal" clothes" industry for the major brands..................is it true? Don't you think the whole world would opposive and not wearing the brand involved?
As for the repmanufacturers, I honestly don't believe they have kids working for them unless i see it for myself, I think most of it is a highly organized industry where a lot of people make a living, without i they would have no food n the table.
Where there is poverty, everybody is invoved in making money to put some food on the table, see the rural plains in some asian countries, man and wife, kids and elderly work in order to provide the first needs.

Hi!
Here the summary:
1. communication: ok, in simple English. He replied emails with 24 hours and slightly longer over the weekend.
2. Payment via pp; as I like it
3. Shipment/packaging: very well packed parcel
4. Quality: a one day checking is better then nothing, but an extra day or 2 would have been better! At least he seams not to be a drop shipper!
4. Summary: smooth and issue less deal, maybe soon again! Just like it should be!
Regards,
TFDM
P.S. As this thread is worthless with out pics....pics will follow! This is NOT the PAM231 I am selling, this one does not have a dagger swan neck!

Have received parcels from all over the world and Germany to Holland, never had a problem, only once when a seller insured the package for $200 , it was held in customs for 10 days and I had to pay tax and customsduties. In total it took 14 days for the watch to arrive so I think you can get it any day.......if not it's standard insured for EU 50,00
-
I thought about these for quite a while, the 3717 was on my wishlist for a year....owning several Pam's I thought it would be too small ,finally took the plunge.....here some more IWCcandy.............
-
sounds obvious maybe but did you try the dealer....people who have acces to th factories would be able to supply these, or you must be luckyto get a scrapwatch with the innerpushers....
-
welcome to the club RK, there are many Pamlovers here...enjoy
