I did consider it but then "polishing a turd" phrase came to mind, plus I am not really a fan of massive watches. In my line of work (programming) "geeks" are generally unimpressed by anything that is too flash or doesnt contain a CPU/RAM combo.. lol I think I will pass it on to a "friend" instead after I have cheked out the movement etc... Any ideas on what I should be looking out for to identify/evaluate movement?

I bought the same watch too (awaiting delivery) from Precious Time. I rather like the look of Montblanc TimeWalker Chronograph I think this baby is on my list as the next purchase..

Hiya, I just saw a pic of Kalashnikov Justice AK-2282.02 in Pix's topic here I have to say its a beautiful watch, very macho and sexy.. Does anyone know where in UK can I buy this watch? Roughly how much can one expect to pay for a gen? Thanks

LOL, yeah thats what I thought of it when it was given to me by a friend who got back from china. needless to say I havent worn it as yet but was interested to find out how (and who) would make a replica such as this... One the good side, the lume is serving as a nightlight.

lol.. what a bunch of loosers. Thats just made my day.. haha.. as for the watches, I am trying to get myself to like Hublots, I am very new to the idea of watches with this distinct style.. the black one looks quite cool though
-
I know I have hacked it to bits and also removed the crown guard.. but is this a fantasy watch or is it based on a real model? Anyone got any information on this?
-
Got carried away with my Canon 350D yet again, this time its my Tag Carerra (calibre 360) - i think its a fantasy watch. At the time I didnt know much about watches I guess... I still love it despite its flaws..

Hey guys,Since I have a passion for watches and photography, I could think of nothing better than take a few snaps of my beloved (yet quartz) Tag Monaco for your viewing pleasure. I picked up this baby in india at a time when I didnt know too much about watch movements and hence didnt know that original tag monaco was automatic.. hehe...none the less here are some pics (taken with canon 350D + 50mm prime). Lighting on the pics is a little off though... so what do you guys think....

-
thanks mate, any info on the model number etc for this? also is there a website or a contact for HKTAN?
-
ooh I love the Patek too. I think it looks very classy
-
same here, I loved the look of it but was scared to make a dud investment, ended up ordering a iwc 3717 from PT. As for my next purchase I got my eyes set on this Patek Philippe
-
hiya guys.. anyone know what this beautiful watch is known as? Has anyone bought this? please share your experiences, pics and reviews.
-
hooray, finally placed an order with PT tonight. cant wait for this baby to arrive. Anyone know where I can order this strap in UK?

Hiya guys, Another post from a noob to this forum and the rep game... Are there any good (near original) replicas of the gen watches that use quartz movement? I dont mean quartz replicas of genuine automatic watches.. I mean quartz gen -> quartz rep Whats your fav ones? post pics please...
-
Wow, lucky you mate, any perticular reason you are going to do the swap? Is it more of a preference or necessity? Mind if I ask re the costs involved (sorry I am new to the whole game) I was in 2 minds if I should get the 3719 too. I think I might just have to wait.. Does The Zigmeister handle repair/mod requests from UK too? Or is there someone else capable of the job in UK?
-
I am glad I posted in the forums. Within a few minutes I not only got the answers I was looking for but I am now ready to buy the watch. may I ask the critical question guys: how much did you pay for your IWC 3717 from PT? Please PM me if you want to discuss this in private..
-
oh and another question: has anyone bought the IWC 3717 from Precious Time UK? I have read a lot of good things about his service on this forum. Any comments on the build quality etc of his version of IWC 3717 are much valued. EDIT: just read through scoobs1971's review of IWC 3717 purchased from PT. nice one scoob, its helped me a lot.. excellent pics too.

I think thats the best way to look at things at the moment. Its cheaper than getting a swiss eta rep plus I can get a taste of my first automatic rep. So far I have been wearing the cheap quartz reps I had picked up from india. haha.
