  4. I ended up getting a 24mm strap for my chopard gtxl as well. I posted a few strap suggestions here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...68999&st=20 and some eye candy of my watch here: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=70832

  6. guys, I found those 2 last night, stowa looks good as well, but I want a little branding on it. Been also reading through the reviews for the IWC XV, but it seems its far from perfect and full of flaws. Since I already own IWC 3717, I dont want to buy another chrono.. good news might be around the horizon, according to Jake48 at this thread: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showto...st&p=425059 It appears that Mr G
  7. wicked, I think the archmede pilot is the closest it comes, although the letters are a little fatter than IWC, plus looks are not as nice, I think I like it.. I did come across: Debaufre/Steinhart Nav B Its a nice looking watch, BUT its 48mm, way too big for my liking.. any others?
  8. hmmm, when I think of audi A8, this is how my thought process goes: Audi A8 -> Transporter 1 & 2 -> Jason Statham -> Panerai On that note, pics speak a thousand words (although a panerai may not be to your father's taste)
  9. Hiya guys, I think I have fallen in love with the simple yet stylish understated look of this watch (arnt we all)... Seeing as there is no rep on the horizon.. can someone please recommend a watch that looks similar to this one? Ideally no bigger than 44mm and AR if possible. Surely something must exist that matches the look of this watch? Any suggestions?

  11. Thank you friend, it is a lovely watch, are you wearing yours on the rubber strap? got any pics? Yeah mine has a noisy rotor but, like you, I am not fussed about the "original" aspect of the watch, I got this as a daily beater, for under
  12. as long as the govt dont cut my wrists off for wearing a rep. :-)
  13. thanks, I'll join in the discussion there.
  14. Hiya guys, I can imagine that it is illegal to sell replicas in UK shops/markets etc, but what is the UK law enforcement on: * selling replicas (overseas/local) * buying replicas off the internet (overseas/local dealer) * owning a replica * wearing a replica Anyone wanna share their views about the UK law enforcement? Cheers
  15. nice shot mate... here is mine
  16. I think next up the list is the Hirsch Rally strap to replicate this sadly the Hirsch Rally strap doesnt come with red stitching..

  20. Hiya guys, Following on from my previous thread, many thanks to all those who inspired me to get this watch and also provided me with invaluable advice. I wont review the watch as its been done many times already. I didnt really like the default rubber/silicon strap the watch comes with and decided to get an aviator strap inspired by Spike's watch. Here are the fruits and eye candy of all your input.. Watch: Chopard GTXL - Asian 21j (from Precious Time UK) Strap: Aviator Pro waterproof leather watchstrap I hope you enjoyed that, please post your feedback.. Cheers D
  21. hmmm, I guess I will get it serviced it some point to avoid any major damage and pray for the best.. As a rule, I think reps are to be enjoyed to the max, so I will not worry too much about it, especially a rep that cost me less than $80.. hehe
  22. Hiya, I just bought the Chopard GTXL 21J version and was wondering if can anyone point me to a tech sheet/information regarding 21j movement in general. Is it a good movement that I can wear around without worrying too much??? PS: the Ruter on Chopard GTXL is so noisy..
  23. i think its 23mm
