You guys hit a painful spot with me with this one. I've loved bikes since I was in grade school. Over he years I've owned about a dozen. Gsxrs, CBRs, FZRs, Ninjas, etc., but haven't ridden one in many many years. All after near fatal accident. I've recovered fully, but the years have tacked on and all I seem to be able to do is get the itch every spring and act like a little kid when I hear/see one roll by. To answer the OP, I've never had a Duc, but I sure have stared and tossed the idea of buying in my head many times.

I know what I'm about to say is a bit of a downer, but a co-worker of my buddy was just killed on his bike this past Saturday when he was merging onto a fwy. It was his first bike and first week riding it. It's stories like that that seem to keep me from getting back on one.

With BK's DSSD it would be impossible to tell with a glance, your friend would most likely have to compare the two side by side. Personally, the only imperfections i think BK's DSSD has is the bezel insert and the clasp, but other than that its pretty much 1:1, but that doesn't mean you can't mod it with trevor's insert and vacclume that beast and change the bracelet with a Nato strap into a full blown semi franken DSSD. BK's DSSD is the best 1:1 rep you'll get out the box hands down. I'll post some pic's later so you can compare my BK with a GEN. But this is my 2 cent and I'm no DSSD expert, so fellow platinum members please feel free to criticize

Honestly, I also see this as a novelty and probably will do lots of shelf time after the initial honey moon period. For me though, it's worth the price for the "ice breaker" factor. I see myself wearing this to certain social events as an ice breaker and a conversation piece. It should be great for some shits n giggles. LOL

yes, it should have been clear when you ordered that it would take some time. the truth is that some investors in this project haven't even received theirs yet. it would bother me if someone who bought it after the fact got theirs before an investor. with that being said, i hope you get yours soon! fyi, i have two separate e-mail addresses for them and both have responded to me within a day. if you'd like them ... simply pm me and i'll pass them along. all the best.

Ztech. Are you trying to outright purchase one or did you sponsor trough kickstarter? I think most of us who have them got them through the startup at kickstarter. My understanding is that they were overwhelmed with the initial run for supporters and are still catching up.

Again, I have to a question to those who purchased a Lunatik. It's been almost a month since I paid for the item and no Lunatik and no reply to any of my emails. Was this the norm for those of you who purchased the Lunatik too? I'm starting to get a little nervous.

I did some research after seeing this thread. It seems Samsung and LG both make a watch phone. I really like the idea of a watch phone, but there's one hurdle they're going to have to get over. It's the price of these watch phones. I did some checking and they're around the $800-$1000 range. Since none of the carriers offer these phones, you're going to have to purchase it on your own without discounts and rebates for 2yr contracts. I think that's the deal killer for me. I can't see myself paying near a grand for a novelty, albeit a very cool novelty. Just my 2 cents.

I'm sure they'll work up a solution soon, the next version will have to come out with in-built Bluetooth.
