  1. Nice MM you have Theo. Here's mine. Ziggified PAM036 MM One of my fav. Took about one year to complete.
  2. Very nice. Congrats to you CC. My PAM24 is on its way back from The Zigmeister. However, it will not be a PM24A but a PAM24D due to the hash mark on the bezel.
  3. Nice. Now, Try looking for a lello's DW and consider a T48 crown. You'll see the difference
  4. Please read my mini review Here Hope the information helps.
  5. Hi, I tried on the tab from my previous blackbird once and it won't fit. Thank you very much and really appreciate your help. Will continue to keep a look out for it.
  6. Hi everyone, I lost the pearl tab for my BCE and need to find a replacement. Anyone with spare unwanted BCE bezel or just the pearl tab alone, please PM me. Thank you
  7. Does the gen casa comes with a wavy dial? I don't see the wavy lines in the gen pic. ???
  8. Hi Babola, Dashed removed and tritium lumed by The Zigmeister. His work is simply amazing. Cheers
  9. Hi, All the members here are friendly and very helpful. They are not hesitant when dealing with noobs but I think they they will prefer that the noobs do more research and expect what it takes to go through the whole process themselves. Here's an example of my modded PAM01B Gen pic to compare You may like to contact any of the highly recommended dealer about the PAM01B for now and read more about what details to mod and also try to find out who can do the mod for you. Good luck
  10. IMO, I think you've made the correct choice for leaning towards sausage dial and close back PAMs as the details accuracy are closer to the gen article as compared to see thru caseback and sandwiched dial PAMs. If I were to choose which one to start off with, I will go for PAM01B as the time and the cost for modding required is quite affordable. - Puretime/trusty basic PAM01B with correct OP6518 B series caseback and Swiss or asian movt of your choice - Strip off AR coating (normal PAM rep will have this blue tint / hue ) - Relume the dial and hands (Gen PAM01B also comes with "L swiss L") - Swap out the crown and out T45 Once the above are completed, strap on a nice looking strap and you have a highly satisfying pam. If you have no interest on PAM01B, IMO, the rest of your interested models will take a longer time to complete or higher cost to gather the correct and best parts. Patience is the key to this hobby. Another way is to keep a close look out at the for sale section if I want to have a modded or rare piece. Nice base models are hard to find these days. Hope this helps
  11. Will suggest that you go for the T48 crown with the correct number of teeth
  12. Hi Hooky, The rep strap is really nothing great comparing to a gen leather strap but it is really not that bad imo. Will keep a look out for any nice brown strap to go with it. Thanks.

The one shown in The Zigmeister's pic is a PAM 024A. Easy tell is the polished and unmarked bezel. This one is a true collectible. Nice work R. I also have one coming your way too
  14. Try checking out or post in the wanted parts section. I found one using this method and got a nice cool looking B series solid caseback with engraved OP 6518 and production number "B1400/3000". The most common B series caseback will have engraved "B1700/3000". I think Josh and Andrew do not sell just the caseback alone anymore. Try Silix too. He is better in sorucing for parts. Hope this helps and good luck.
  15. Wowwww. This should be crowned the best of the best PAM1B. It's soooooooooooooo close to the gen article. Enjoy it Kruz.
  16. Got them from another donor movement
  17. Hi All, My long waited PAM036 project has finally completed. Many thanks to The Zigmeister and Spinmaster for their help and beautiful work. Some pics of the gen - The tobacco brown dial tone amazingly changes under different lightings A : Tobacco brown B : Dark brown c : Black - See thru caseback and beautiful B series movement Here's mine, 1a) The Zigmeister's aged lume (Different lume tone of the numerals/indices and the hands as per gen) 1b) Rework on CG's lever pin by The Zigmeister 1c) Convert " L Swiss L" to "T swiss T" by The Zigmeister 1d) Cannon pin fixed 2a) Old school PAM036 Ti case (with OP and BB etched on 2 upper corners behind the case and most accurate caseback engravings) 2b) Non ARed crystal 2c) T60 Ti crown 2d) Got a rep strap with the correct brown color to maximise the cosmetic effect 3 : Ti Thumb nail buckle (very rare and hard to find one these days) Closer look at the caseback details - Original balance wheel "straight" spokes are incorrect. So, I swappred in the correct one with "flared" spokes (couldn't see in the pic as the movement is running) - Original gears top surface are matt finished. So, I swapped in the polished gears and the overall appearance looks great Eyecandy - Dial shows the correct tobacco brown under normal lighting - Dial colour looks darker or almost black with weak lighting (very close to the gen article) - Preferred this version dial as compared to DSN's as the dial text font looks better (look at the"T Swiss T") Wristie Efforts paid off and I am enjoying it every bits. Thanks for viewing
  18. It will still glow but not as torch bright as superluminova. Somewhat brighter than standard lume.
  19. My vote goes to PAM1B but with T swiss T dial. I prefer the off white tritium aged lume to full white luminova. Here some gen pics and here's mine... Thanks to The Zigmeister for his fantastic work on my PAM1B. - Notice the difference in the lume colour tone of the hands and the markers? The Zigmeister latest aged lume colour is very well mixed and extremely close to the gen - Flushed CG pin ** Went for B series because the accuracy of the caseback engravements are closer to the gen article with the correct OP, BB and production number. A good "A" series caseback with the correct OP number is hard to find IMO.
  20. Good one Jboy. GEN 232 only produced in "I" series (1938pcs ). Panerai always make a prototype before official release for advertisement purpose. Usually these batch of PAMs will not have production number and they call them "shadow PAM". Pics below show an "I" series with shadow 232.
  21. Thanks PS Some pics DSN's case has rounder edges (radiomir case should be more squarish) and its caseback engraving are using incorrect font and font size. However, DSN's dial colour and hands are better and more accurate. Pics shown above are using cartel's 232 case, caseback, DSN's dial and DSN's hands. Result is amazing
  22. Hi all, I found some interesting gen pics and was confused by what I saw. Was at a bookstore today and found this watch book with many nice gen pics. When I flipped to my Officine Panerai, I was suprised to see a chrono pam (probably with 7753 movt) that came with the original ETA date font. I looked carefully again and yes it is really the thin and familiar ETA date font that is known to our eyes. See pic below Can you see the standard ETA date font? No? here's a closer look Convinced? No? Well, this is not the first case I found. Here's another... I visited the website of a watchshop selling second hand watches. This watchshop is rather well known in my country. While checking through some nice gen PAM pics, I came across a sweet PAM29 but hold on a second, something is not right. And Yes, it was the date font again. Instead of the bold date font, it shows a thin standard ETA date font and beside the date font, the crown also looks a bit thin like what we expect from a standard PAM rep. Here you go boy... The above pic showed a 100% gen PAM29 and why do I say that? Well, the bold and white font on the dial, correct GMT hand length, correct hour markers spacing, correct white superluminova lume colour. I am confused now. Did OP did it on purpose or some QC is on the loose? If it is really the case then it will be a good news for those who own a 7753 movt daylight or PAM29.
  23. Thanks guys. I went to compare it with a gen which was displayed at the glass window of a shop selling second hand pams and was really really happy with the work The Zigmeister has delivered. Except for the slightly thin font on the dial, my PAM001B is almost perfect.
