  1. Following in the recent threads about Genuine Tag purchases I bought myself one a couple of days ago, and it arrived today. This is very rare Tag 1500 series. Rare because from what I understand there were only around 100 ever made. It's a WD1210 Quartz Diver, but has the Superbowl 33 logo on the dial. My understanding is that these were given to the players and coaching staff of both teams (Denver Broncos & Atlanta Falcons) Denver Broncos won the game, John Elway's last ever game before retiring. What makes this even cooler is i'm a HUGE Denver Broncos fan and memorobillia collector. The watch came with all the original box and paperwork, and is in almost as new condition. I cant imagine it was worn much if ever. I replaced the strap however as it came on a nylon strap. Its small but i'm supprised how good it looks on considering i'm use to wearing a Carrera chrono or Omega pro dive rep etc. btw how do i make the photos show full size on my post??
  2. The watch itself, or the style?? I was thinking of getting one of these also in white/silver.
  3. Yep the price is what is making it very tempting. Funny how when you think your getting a good deal you can convince yourself it's right for you I should just order myself a new Rep Aquaracer 7750 Chrono for half the money . I just really want to own a genuine TAG!.
  4. I tried it on and while I'm use to a larger watch it didint look to small. The mother of pearl also didint look all that bad. It is listed as a "man's" watch, and Tag do many men's models in the 39mm size. Maybee i'm just trying to hard to make this watch work for me, and less then 1/4 of the retail price I might be forgiven for trying http://www.tagheuer.com/the-collection/car...w=WV211A.BA0787
  5. I have the chance to get an authentic one of these at a very good price, and was wondering if anyone had one?? I much prefer Chronographs, and own a Rep of the Red Carrera Racing Chrono. Ive never been a fan of smaller plain watches, and the watch strap that comes on this one is pritty ugly in my opinion. I was wondering if anyone had put or owned one with a Stainless Bracelet, or Racing leather strap etc?? WV211D.EB0017 Product Description Stainless steel case. Blue denim strap. White mother-of-pearl dial. Date displays at 3 o'clock position. Scratch resistant sapphire crystal. Deployment clasp. Case diameter 38.5mm. Case thickness 12.2mm. Automatic movement. Water resistant at 50 meters (165 feet). For the price I would be very interested if I knew it could be Beefed up a little with the addition of a more sporty, rugged looking strap :-)
  6. Didint like the Stainless bracelet on the carrera so got a racing leather with deployment clasp.
  7. My Tag's. F1, Tiger, and Carrera that arrived today
  8. A quick question regarding this and possibly other reps: Is it possible to tighten a bezel?? The genuine has a very tight bezel and the rep has a very loose one. Is it possible to fix this?? Thanks
  9. Excellent Review. I was going to go with the Black, But went and looked at them in a dealer showroom today and the Red looked awesome. I have just ordered the Red from Andrew, and cant wait to get it
  10. 31 hours after receiving it keeps perfect time but the date wont change . Any secret to getting the date to work on one of these guys?? Set Time and date when I got it at around 9:25 am and 31 hours later the date hasn't moved.
  11. Thanks for the info. Got mine today and the one I received does infact have the correct bracelet at lease according to photos from the Omega Website, and the bracelet does get fatter towards the watch and thinner towards the clasp. Perfectly centered pearl and bright Lume. The subdial spacing is incorrect, but its incorrect on the Planet Ocean chrono which seemigly is a popular watch that people seem to be able to live with. I like the Planet Ocean a lot and actually bought one of the really nice and very good quality Quartz models which has the correct subdial spacing etc but has other flaws. I have to say I am VERY impressed with the Seamaster Chrono Diver Black and would Recommend it highly. I only received it today, so will post an update when I have made sure it works fully etc Heres a wrist shot
  12. Hey Guy's, Just wondering if anyone owns this watch?? I have just ordered it from Andrew, and saw the good mini review it got in By-Tor's Omega guide. I havent seen any other info from board members on it, and was wondering how it is .It looks like a prity nice watch and I'm surprised not to have found more posts about it. 13. I'm kinda new to this forum, and had a rocky start to my Rep collecting, but thanks to the advice from a certain senior member here have two new reps. This my latest arrived yesterday, and thanks to him at a much better prices then from the cartel.
  14. Well the answer to my question is less then 4 hours. Watch arrived yesterday missing the Crown logo from the clasp. Worked during the day then stopped dead at around 10pm. Wound the watch manually as advised to by the seller and set the time at 11:30 pm and went to bed. Woke up this morning and watch was dead. Died at 3:13 am. 3 hours 43 minutes on a full wind. Photos attached: I have another watch on order that was paid for a week ago and still has not been shipped, and am awaiting on what the seller suggests to do with the YM. I'm more then a little disappointed thus far with my first real Replicas. I'm not sure I could have done any more research then I did taking all advise and buying from trusted sellers etc to avoid a bad experience.
  15. Thanks guy's. I Ended up going for a Tiger Woods Swiss Quartz with the Silicon strap. Should be reliable, look good and a daily wear.. all that I wanted. I never knew and it 's nice to know that automatic movements genuine or Rep are kinda fragile as I play a lot of sport at a high level etc so these arent probably good for me. I guess my Rolex Yachtmaster will be good for something.
  16. Hi guys. I just ordered my first Rep from Josh, the Rolex Yachtmaster auto special. after spending the last couple of days reading through the forums I now want to get a Tag (Ive always liked Tag's more then any other watch). I have read through various posts on numerous forums about how unreliable and hit and miss even the good Automatic Reps are, and want something to wear as an every day watch. I currently wear a real nice Titanuim Seiko and own an original Tissot, both are 100% reliable as all watches I guess in theory should be. The unreliability factor with the reps has put me off spending more then 100 bucks on and to be honest I would rather it looked and felt 100% genuine but was also 100% reliable also. This leads me to Trusy's Jap Quartz 2006 link Chrono: http://www.trustytime88.com/index.php?main...d190bacd8bc0144 I was wondering if anyone own this watch and can offer perhaps some photos and opinions, mini reviews etc?? Thanks in advance
  17. Hi guys thanks for all your comments. It seems it is all about luck of the draw. I'm glad I opted for the $100 YM, and not one of the $300 ones. While I can see that spending $300 will get you a better movement in theory (although I have read people here saying the ETA, 7750, and 21 j all can be about as equally reliable or not), $300 to me is a Tissot Authentic or just about any VERY high quality Seiko that will almost be guaranteed to last you at least 5 years. I know friends who are builders & plumbers etc and wear walmart $25 watches that they have owned for 5+ years that keep perfect time. I see people here are into doing mods to their watches, and not knowing much about this wonder why someone wouldent just buy a Seiko (I use seiko as an example because having owned several they are bullet proof and keep amzaing time, i'm guessing there are several good jap watch companys) and put its movement into one of these watches? Anyway thanks for all the info, and I guess I will wait and see if the watch I receive will be a good one Ohh BTW how water proof are these Rep YM's??
  18. Hi Guys Just joined a couple of days ago, and thanks to all the info on this site ordered my first replica a Yachtmaster $108 special from Josh. I had been looking at various watches and sites and trying to work out which I should choose. I decided based on very good reviews going for the YM Aisa 2813. I am yet to receive it but i'm guessing should have it sometime this week. My question is, how long should this watch last???. I have bought $100 Replicas from places like Thailand while on holiday thinking they must be good for that kind of price only to find they last about a month. From your experience do these watches last?? I mean I know they are replicas, and not authentic but for my mind when anyone can go out and buy a really nice Seiko authentic or even a Tissot etc for between $100-300 and get YEARS of trouble free use out of it whats the point of buying a rep if infact you dont get the same out of a $100-300 replica etc I kind of went off the idea of replicas and wear a Very reliable Titanium Seiko which was about $150, and also own an Authentic Tissot Lmt Edition Sports Watch. Both are great but I kind of wanted something new..... thus this recent purchase. Any coments or experience with this watch or others with the same movement etc would be most appreciated
