what model is that panerai???
-
is it a real tourbillon movement that actually works like a tourbillon? or does it just look like one?
-
thanks Richard!

From EL.... haven't even worn it yet. initial thoughts:
watch is sturdy and heavy... the gmt hands can be manually moved and is in sync with the hour hand. I can't manually change the date, so I had to wind it up to the date (I wonder is the is also part of the gen)?
but the dial is gorgeous, and the leather band definately needs to be changed. the paperwork is a nice touch.. and so is the nylon strap. I'm gonna open it up and check out the movement. will post pics
awesome! way to go EL!

i just ordered mine in black.
i have a gen '05 Aquatimer with a rubber strap. I was thinking... maybe... just maybe... the SS band might fit my gen Aquatimer. (IWC quoted me 1K for a SS Band!)
If it doesn't fit, then oh well.... just another watch to my collection.

Thanks for the Great Review.
Good News for ALL:

Will post up for sale in a while.
Healing from a bad cold,
Andrew
Awesome! Ordered mine last week, can't wait to get it! My first rep... hopefully it will be how everyone describes it.... if it is, everyone needs to jump on this watch!

the only visible difference i can spot from the photos are the that it is missing the "T" Swiss Made "T" on the bottom of the dial.
otherwise, damn good copy

Got the same winder a few weeks ago from Ebay!!
I love it! it looks soooo high class and very well put together... (I received the winder in 3 boxes within each other)
My only complaint is that I can't set it to only wind in clockwise or counter (it rotates)
but other than that, very quiet.

I new to the rep scene.... i'm 28 years old, and I have a collection of about 20 watches. All gen which includes IWC, Panerai, Zenith, and GP. I just recently purchased the Pam 29 and PO after I found this site.... so I'm quite nervous about the quality of these watches. My friends have all known me as a watch fanatic... so there is no way they'd think I'd ever wear a rep.... we'll see how these work out. If they turn out alright, I might pick up a few more.... but NEVER EVER EVER will I own a rep Rolex. I don't care how good it is, its still a "fake Rolex". It's so cliche'

after placing my order over the weekend, eddie sent me an e-mail with a number.... I've tried to ask him what is... he hasn't responded... probably too busy..
it looks something like this: ee431xxxx75tw (x's replaced by numbers)
anyone know what this reference number is?

wow.... good deal!!
-
on my gen datejust, it just falls off after wearing the watch often
-
andrews is still more accurate... helium valve position and the red line around the triangle on the bezel.
didn't he buy it from Andrew? (Trusty)?

Casey, how does the weight compare to the real one?

Just picked up the new AT yesterday, and practicing my photography skills. I'm by far the worse photographer... but here is a snapshot... its a beautiful watch in person.... just so excited!
