No no, just the case. As in the typical flaws we all know and hate (HE, CGs). Bracelet, dial and crystal look great

So we wait and wait and wait.

I used the "hair dryer method" to the point that the watch was too hot to touch. Using a cotton towel, I could barely move the insert. Then I levered a sharp sewing needle between the crystal and the insert to lift the bezel insert off. And scratched it! Damn!

But it's aligned now.

To be totally frank, I'll be stunned if the replacement bezel from Josh actually shows up. Hope I'm wrong.

Ooops. I goofed.

Got a bit confused. It's the Sub which has the engraved rehaut. Never mind.

Here's a pic of a Daytona with the the PVD treatment. Worth about $20k.

You can find a rep for under $100. Just don't expect quality.

When you say "basic Asian 21J movement" do you mean a 2813 or 2824 clone, or something more primitive?

I was wondering if anyone could NAME the movt used in the cheaps GMT-type reps?

Got my Noobmariner last week {nice} and it didn't leave my wrist for days. And the Euromariner is supposed to better? It is sooo on my list!

BTW. Can we assume yours has the engraving on the rehaut?

The crown guards are very much there, it seems more like the stem just protrudes too far.

The crown is the wrong shape and the CGs are too small. Believe me. I am very sure I have the SAME rep on my wrist right now. It's the most accurate version available at the moment.

Bad news I'm afraid.

If thsi is the same rep as Silix sells (and I'm very confident it is) the bezel insert is going to make you sweat.

I heated my watch to the point where I could not pick it up and the insert still would not move. When I tried to use a sharp sewing needle to lever between the crystal and bezel insert, I ended up scratching it.

Finally lifted it off and realigned it, but it carries the scar.

It's just that I don't recall and\y dealers using "SUPER" in their descriptions.

Are you trying to remove the bezel or just take out the insert?

If it's the same as my SMP, shifting the bezel insert is a bugger.

It looks very much like the rep I got from Silix.

The puny CGs are it's biggest flaw.

I note that it has "325" or "328" stamped on the half-link. Does that link also have the letters "JAH" on it?

the idea is to balance the clasp as much as possible between each side (so sitting almost plumb in the middle when held by the case in your hand and allowing the bracelet to dangle) remove a link via screw is one full size. use a paperclip to push in the spring bar in the clasp to adjust a half size whilst sliding the bracelet into the clasp.

Adjusted the bracelet by taking out one link. Fits perfectly.

That's fortunate, bacause I could not get the spring-bar is the clasp to budge.

Just want to add that it looks and feels like a very, VERY nice rep. Makes me wonder how much better the Euromariner could be! Oh, it's sooo tempting!

Is an Asian 2892 clone used in any reps?

How can I tell if a dealer is selling a proper SSD or just another hyped A+++ rep?

The one from Josh is horrible!

As far as the full-size Bond SMPs at the moment, the one from Silix/King (and apparently houseofsouvenirs.com) is the most accurate.

The major flaws with this version are the CG and He valve location (the pearl isn't THAT bad). Otherwise it's the best of the current crop.

The jury seems to be split 50/50 on which is the biggest crime... the CG or the He valve.

What's the most common (at the moment) 21j Asian movt in $100 reps?
