  1. my best friend just bought a 911 and has lent it to me for 4 days......my first reaction after inventing ridiculous reasons to go everywhere and nowhere.....WOW!......WHAT A MACHINE!

Wow johnnyboy you have great friends!

Im afraid i cant beat that, altho some Easter golf will certainly be welcome. So for me its round the golf course building up an appetite, then back home for a big meal and lots of choc :)

  2. Always glad to find another Breitling fan. I have a lovely Navitimer enroute from Josh. Check out his collection, he's got some lovely Breits. His term, "Perfect Clones" is well put. The *only* flaw I found is a very minor difference in the font on the date wheels.

There's just something about Breitlings for me...cant get enough of em! Shame...i cant get on Josh's site for the moment..."bandwidth limit exceeded". Hope you can get some pics up of the Navitimer when it comes...might just sway me! :)

  3. I am looking into buying this watch, however could someone set me straight on this.

    Omega Seamaster 085 pictures

When looking at the photos i saw that in the 8th pic down the caseback looks like the genuine, but in the next pics down the caseback is now different (and is i believe the omega 087 that King stocks).

Is this because the movements are the same, and he couldnt be bothered to take two sets of photos? If anybody's got this watch could you let me know.

    Thanks,

    Jon

  4. thank you thank you. yeah, i know. I should have waiting and done it right. I did things backwards. i saw the watch, fell in love, didnt do much research, bought it, then realized I still had homework to do. I'm really getting into this forum. So much to learn. Its a very interesting hobbie. I already have my eye on an Omega and possibly a Pam. The mechanics behind the watch is what makes it very interesting.

Nice watch...i had a toss up between that and a Colt GMT...Colt won thru in the end because the Avenger was too big for my wrist. Good too hear someone mentioning the mechanics and not just the look.

    Good luck :)

  5. Gents.

I just received my submariner (you have to start somewhere :p ) from Joshua. The watch is excellent and so is the dealer! The man truly has an excellent way of communicating. One thing that frustrated me is that it took me 10 minutes to unwrap the watch, that is how well packed it was :D Had to wait even 10 minutes more to hold my jewel :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Come on...you know unwrapping it is part of the fun...think of Christmas! :D

  6. All of the above, plus the cameraderie of a forum like RWG.

You hit the nail on the head there ryyannon. Altho the watches are lovely to source and own, we are also lucky to have a brilliant rep community. I havnt been a member that long, but i have burnt many a good hour just reading posts, salivating over pictures, and generally enjoying the banter.

  7. I feel im too young for gens, along with them being WAY out of line financially speaking to me as a student.

    Anyway. Enjoy.

Im only having one as a 21st birthday present (only 1 week to go!!)...as its a family gift i will hopefully have it for many years to come. I totally concur with the student sentiment...cant wait to get out there and earn a living...and then spend it all on reps!

  8. I too had a gen colt breitling at the age of 16 (Automatic II, was bought for 450 euros my by uncle, great deal back then) :o , I got it from my uncle but it was too much obviously. He wouldnt take it back so I sold it at the time to fund a savings account (he allowed me to, actually encouraged me to do so!!)

Bling bling is definately not the way to go in your case. Personally I dont care. Fake or no fake, doesnt matter. Im 18 and Id rather walk around with a beautie than have the fear of being called out.

    To each his own however!!

    All the best,

    Floris

    Thanks Floris,

You are right...i guess its a case of walking around with confidence, knowing that your watch is nice. Im also not really the type of person who likes bling...wouldnt feel at home with a monster on my small wrists!

  9. Looking at the reviews of the latest PO (ie Andrews 4th gen)...it seems people are raving about it, so i guess they have it looking pretty good now. That would kill me if i thought people were laughing about my watch  I guess whenever i go into a jewellers im gonna have to wear my gen watch!

  10. Thanks mossanti. My family is joining together to get the Breitling, so it will always be special for me.

I really like the look of the 4th generation PO from Andrew...but it seems he sells them as soon as his shipments come in! But anyway, i cant wait to start my collection...could be a slippery slope!

  11. Hi everyone, just like to say this community is damm good and i hope to become part of it in time. In the process of researching watches for my 21st Birthday, i came across the huge replica industry. Altho i will be getting a gen watch for my birthday (hopefully a Breitling Colt GMT with Blue dial), i have become obsessed with getting some replica watches! I would be possibly looking to start with an Omega, possibly the Planet Ocean or the Seamaster Pro Blue "Bond's". My biggest concern is that people will be able to tell they are replicas, and also i feel that having a rolex at my age would be obviously fake.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

    Sorry about the long post!

    Jon
