  1. Hi i was yesterday to a friends house and a guy (actualy a known actor here in greece) was wearing a daytona, i commented about his watch and asked to see it and offerd him my Pam 112h. He gave me his watch saying he is no watch enthousiast and didnt knew the brand i was wearing :), anyway the daytona looked good, but when i turned it to see the back i saw the coomon rep mistake an egraved back with winner text and other things... I told him were he bought the watch and he told me from a jewellery store in his town, i said to him but this is a rep and he immediatly said no way. this is an 100% gen daytona. :Jumpy: i hate when people do that and i went crazy i told him that i was ready to put a bet at any amount that this is a rep, to cut the long story short we have tommorow an rv at the ROLEX AD to verify the watch and the bet is set for 3.000 euros. I believe that this guy wont show up ..

As i know only the seadweller has engraved back..

    comments ??

    Wow thats a massive bet!

What happens if he does actually own a gen Daytona, and is one of those people that wears a rep of his watch in order to save wear and tear on the gen! All he needs to do is show up with his gen, then hes 3,000 euros better off! Uh oh :(

  2. Andrew was my first choice for buying my first Rep a few months ago. I looked at all the comments made by others and examined his large selection of excellent looking reps and took the plunge that started my hobby in serious Rep collecting.

I just bought the following watches from him:

ROLEX - SUBMARINER LV GREEN - BEST EDITION

Breitling Navitimer - Serie Speciale SPECIAL EDITION with "Serie Speciale"

and received them while I was gone on a business trip. They are perfect and everything I had expected. I love the Breitling and the Rolex is my first. I had never really liked the looks of the Rolexes but the price was too good to pass up. It looks so good it changes my mind and I may get another in the future.

Those just finding the forums and considering their first purchase or anyone else needing a new Rep - Andrew has always provided excellent watches, good service and timely communications. What more could you ask for?

Busy travel schedule but will get pictures up as soon as possible.

    Hey Usil,

Congratualtions on your purchases...looks like your on the slippery slope now! Im getting more and more tempted by the Rolex...and that Breitling is damm fine! :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Cant wait for the pics :)

  3. Breitling rivals Omega and Rolex in quality with all their models, even GMT. I especially like the dial and brushed/polished bracelet and prefer this one over the titanium models.

    What a beautiful watch, congrats!

    Thanks By-Tor,

I completely agree...I love the dial on this watch...had to choose between Black and Blue, and eventually went for blue because I believe it suits me more (probably better for a younger person...and more of a 'sporty' look to the watch).

Also the brushed part of the bracelet means the watch is not so 'bling' as some Breitlings can be...which i much prefer.

    Cheers,

    Jon

  4. Very nice!! I have a gen '06 Steelfish which is pretty simular to yours! Too bad you don't have the new professional II bracelet!

    Wear it well my friend!

Yeh i was tempted by the Steelfish and the original Superocean, but they were too thick for my arm.

I really like this bracelet...dont think iv seen the Pro II though.

    Thanks for the comments,

    Jon

  5. Thanks very much Dutchy :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I spent a long time researching and choosing the watch...I knew this was going to be my only gen for a few years, so i wanted a watch that i liked, that suited me, and that looked good :) Also my wrists are pretty small, but i think it looks ok (whereas a Navitimer would perhaps look like a clock on my arm!).

Also, im very flattered by your comments on my photographic skills...I have trawled the forum looking at angles that work, and tried to sort the lighting. I ended up with white printer paper everywhere, a borrowed tripod, and a lamp with a pillow-case on! Seemed to work ok...but i really enjoyed it and will be attempting more photos.

    Thanks again, Jon

  6. Hi guys thought I'd drop a quick line as I'm a 'new' member. Went over to RWG I (what's up with those whiney bastards :p ) found out it was mostly dead and came across this link... so I'm new again...

looks good around here... :thumbsupsmileyanim: nice job boys…

    Adam

    Hi there Adam,

Glad you found the forum. Have fun :D

  7. I love the VC Overseas from them, they are good over email. Probably the volume they move helps prices. They are good for the classic sellers (vc overseas, SMP, Explorer I, etc).

So would you suggest buying one of their current Omega SMP, because some people say the quality of this rep is not the same as it used to be (throughout all dealers).

  8. I am heading to Vegas next month. I am going to spin the watch and play the number that comes up :D

Nice one...that would be wicked...bet you get all the girls round you if your playing big stakes ;)

If you start winning, everyone's gonna ask where you got the watch!

    Jon

  9. I really love this watch. The bubble crystal is really cool as well as the deployment rubber band. The only odd thing is that the band and the back of the watch say chronograph :Jumpy:

Weird! Nobody's gonna notice that when you have mini-roulette on your arm! Doesn't detract from it at all...its a lovely 'crazy' piece :thumbsupsmileyanim:
