  1. To me the UK version was much funnier than the US one but then I am a fan of most British comedies especially stuff like allan partridge, big train, spaced etc, maybe it comes from being in a colony!

Good shout...might have to dig out my old episodes of Alan Partridge...has me in stitches every time :D

  2. Hey,

    I am new here!!

Bought a couple of bad reps in Jakarta about a month ago, and I am now hooked.

Just ordered 2 PAMs and am now trying to hod myself back for a while, but I am so tempted to go crazy!!

Anyways great site with tons of info!

    Hey Jason,

Welcome to the forum mate...best of luck with your search mate :)

  3. Looking at this watch I wonder what the potential customers might be -_- is it only for die hard Bond fans?

I have a similar feeling towards the Olympic watches from Omega and Longines. They look great while the Olympics is going on but looks silly in the periods in between the event :)

I agree...very specialised clientele. Not too my tastes, but hey...Omega think they can get sales so someone must like it!

  4. Hi everyone!

Glad to be a part of this great forum, some great info on here!

I'm after a dress watch, but I'm not sure what would be considered to be a 'good' dress watch?!

Any feedback would be much appreciated,

    Many Thanks

    Hi there,

Glad you found the forums...have a read around and you should find some great topics.

A nice dress watch is the Omega Planet Ocean Black...very smart watch. Everyone has their own views, which is the beauty of a forum...so be prepared for lots of opinions :D

  5. Looks great, and I prefer the older model bracelet on yours compared to the new bracelets. Seems the new seawolfs and avengers come with the new bracelet as well, which is a shame because the old bracelet looked way badder...

    Thanks Watcher :thumbsupsmileyanim:

Appreciate that sir...i love the bracelet on mine...been wearing it in the sun today with a t-shirt...loads of comments :D

  6. Huh?

Let's just say that I have a friend who downloaded music off the net when downloding music of the net was easy to do. I . . . er, my friend accumulated pretty much every song he ever liked and every song by every artist who ever did a song he ever liked - something like, oh . . . maybe 15 GB worth of MP3s.

That 15 GB is currently residing on an IPOD that plays them perfectly well. Install the software and it finds the songs (like from Music Match for instance) and it converts them into ITunes files. No problemo.

In fact, those songs have been iinstalled on various IPODs belonging to various family members (of my friend's), all of which are doing just fine.

Yeh exactly...easy peasy! No worries about what player you get...will be fine...or your wife will be :D

  7. That's kind of what I'm saying. With an iPod, you're locked into using iTunes as your unique source for music files.

For instance, my whole music collection has been downloaded off of other sources, and I'm under the impression that they will not be accepted by an iPod - which is why I've held off from buying one. Presuming that Watcher's wife already has a collection of music files, she's going to need an open-format player which will accept them. Either that, or purchase a new music collection through iTunes.

Once again, correct me if I'm wrong...

Im pretty sure you can play all song file types in itunes...doesnt matter where you have got them from, or what you are using at the moment. itunes will ocnvert them (if it needs to), but most will play anyway.

Then transfer them from comp to ipod through itunes.

    Hope that helps :)

  8. I was under the impression that all iPods were 'dedicated' players - meaning that they only accept mp3 files in the iTunes format - meaning that you can't load files from any other provenance into the player.

Am I right or wrong about this?

They work in conjunction with iTunes...this comes on cd with all ipods...pretty good music player i find.
