  1. hmmm do you have pics of your closed factory? I'm assuming it's a 2254 right?
  2. Royal Mail have never asked me for ID, either here in Brighton or at my other address in London. Just show your little attempted delivery card and you get the package.
  3. Any perticular dealer revealed the coming of this new SMP? I'm starting to think that because you can get them for under 1k gen. I might just buy the real deal instead of waiting for a perfect rep.
  4. Hont has these on display on his site. It's still worth something even if you just use it for its case. A great hybrid SMP can be had if you combine pieces with say Silix's Omega. That's if the case is 1:1. I posted this here because I've never heard of anyone mentioning this version before, even though everyone's main concern with SMPs is the HE valve and crown guards being incorrect. This one has those two flaws corrected, yet never any mention.
  5. What model SMP is this? Closed factory? Other? It has correct HE valve posirion and crown guards but the pearl is horrible and other details (well I'm not too sure). I remember seeing that the closed factory was accurate in every detail. This is two pictures from two different sources of the same watch model.
  6. No no, just the case. As in the typical flaws we all know and hate (HE, CGs). Bracelet, dial and crystal look great
  7. the only flaw with that one is the case. If you can source a correct case. You're all set.
  8. haha. I also wish peeps would tell us which dealers have said so and so - instead of acting as if we were dealing in state secrets.
  9. If the dealers says this is in the works my best guess is they're redoing the SMP because they're replicating the new black one Omega launched. Which is good cos the only difference is the dial and bezel colour, which isn't a big deal, so they can do both blue and black versions.
  10. It's a hard one to call. Cos they could just replace the dial and bezel and be done with it. And the crown guards are the least of my worries. The biggest tell is always the bloody HE valve.
  11. Anyone who needs a genuine bezel insert for their SMP can find it here for around 80$. Here 5 hours left ;P
  12. He's the first dealer who claims to pay for return shipping when there's a screw up. That's pretty neat.
  13. JBond's gonna contact King to find out the price. He told me he'd pass on the info when he gets a reply.
  14. The King watch ones look better I think. Nice crownguards. And if her site is to be believed. You get nice lume as well:
  15. Bleh I wish all dealers put prices on their sites. Loads terribly slow here as well. Is it just me or is the Omega page empty?
  16. nice PO 24. Which generation is it? The HE valve is on the 10 o clock instead of 10:20 on this one.
  17. Thanks a lot for the detailed response! I'll certainly consider getting one, but it does suffer from some annoying flaws as you've detailed. The small hour markers which weren't a big deal for me are even staring to dissuade me now.
  18. Looked everywhere, couldn't find a review of this watch (which is suprising cos it's hot) so sorry if stuff said here has been covered. By Tor's guide says it's an excellent replication, but by looking at the pics on dealers' sites, the bracelet engraving seems to says "Speedmaster" instead of "Seamaster Professional". Example here Apart from that and the subdial spacing all looks good, as far as I can see. Has anyone bought this watch who can tell me how it's performing? You reckon I can get a dealer to source the correct bracelet for it? For instance Is there a reason why the bracelet from the blue chrono wouldn't fit? Cheers.
  19. Man I love that black dial SMP chrono. I might consider buying one before waiting for a black SMP bond rep if patience gets the better of me.
  20. I want to steal your box. Where do you live?
