Well said Edge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By-tor,
That Rolex mirror shot is SUPERB! So is the watch.

Great looking watch. After you install the gen Crown and Tube, Look for a bargain
on a 93150 bracelet, and you'll be home free.
I have two questions: Where did you source the Gen insert? Rolex still offers
a replacement insert for the 1680, but the AD's in my area (at least the three
that I have contacted) require a valid serial # before they will order one.
Did the insert fit the MBW bezel with no mods?
Again, BEAUTIFUL watch

Gorgeous. I honestly don't know which is more amazing- The watch, the pics or the deal you got on it!
Talk about being at the right place at the right time...
Ubi:
This was the first "luck" that I've had in years that wasn't bad.
thanks!
-
how much did you steal this gen for?
-bm
"stole" (couldn't have done much better with a white horse, a mask, and a gun) this one for $1500.
It's a 16760, cal. 3085 movement (early to mid 80's). This was a transitional model as Rolex
moved from the GMT Master to the GMT Master ll.
The bracelet has some minor stretch. The watch has no scratches or dings.
Have service papers from Rolex NYC in 2000.
Couldn't have been happier with this "steal"

Got a steal of a deal on this one a couple of months ago. A business associate
had fallen into a financial bind and, in casual conversation, told me he was
selling his watch. I made him a ridiculous offer and to my utter surprise, he said
"sold."
Finally got out the camera & took these after I saw By-tor's
outstanding pics of his GMT several days ago.

Nanuq:
Went to a coed gym last night. Worked out for 15 minutes - watched the women work
out for 2 hours - the MBW gained 62 seconds.
I'll never have to set it again as long as I workout there once each week.
Thanks Nanuq!!!!!!!

Recently (about five weeks ago) I had a Gen Crown and Tube installed on my MBW 1680.
Prior to the installation, the watch consistently gained 10 seconds per day.
After the crown and tube installation, its behavior has become a little strange:
Day 1 - set the watch with the atomic clock
Day 2 - 10 second gain
Day 3 - another 10 second gain (now 20 seconds fast)
Day 4 - 5 second loss (now 15 seconds fast)
Day 5 - 10 second loss (now 5 seconds fast)
Day 6 - 15 second loss (now 10 seconds slow)
Hacking the watch will repeat this pattern exactly - almost to the second.
I realize that a 10 second variance over 6 days is extraordinary, especially for a rep movement.
I'm curious if anyone else has experienced this, or , If anyone might be able to explain the pattern.

Check Narikaa's listings when he returns. He usually has s great
selection for the ladies - great pricing also. Mrs. BigDoggy has picked
up three from him - loves them!
-
Hard to decide between these two - The MBW on the left gets the most wrist time.
-
Check completed items on eBay. There is a lot of variation in Tudor prices. I sold this SS Tudor Sub on the Bay for $1500.00. I've seen similar watches go for as little as $800

This 1680 just sold at auction on Antiquorum for $85,000

How much do Reviews or Pictorials by members such as Pugwash or By-Tor impact the sale of the watch that they reviewed?
An extensive pictorial by Pugwash of the 111h from Silix-Prime was directly responsible for my purchase of that watch.
I fell in love with the 111 & purchased the 113 from Andrew.
By-Tor’s extensive review of the Speedmaster Broad Arrow with the Lemiana movement
(Discontinued according to By-Tor), but sourced by Andrew through Josh after a lengthy
hunt put that watch on my wrist.
Pugwash’s pictorial and comments and By-Tor’s review and photos were both magazine quality. Thanks again to both of you. It amazes me that we have access to this level of expertise here – free for the taking – with just a click or two.
How many of you have purchased a watch as a direct result of a such a pictorial or review?
-
Love the color - wish I had seen yours before I ordered this blue one!
OUTSTANDING pics!!!!!
-
It is summertime and I have the perfect strap (and watch) for that, check it out
REALLY great pics!!!! They show off both the watch AND the Strap.
-
If you haven’t purchased from Andrew, you are missing out. The process is easier and more efficient than Amazon.com. He communicates at every step of the transaction; his tracking numbers work flawlessly; and, most importantly – his product is superb.
Enjoy the pics of Andrew’s 113 H with the Swiss Unitas movement.

Just received my first rep and absolutely love the watch (bought from Paul) , looks really nice and delivered pretty fast too.
However I don't like the strap, would much prefer a leather or rubber strap. Am not sure if its possible to wair a leather or rubber strap on these and look creditable.
Any of you guys have suggestions?, do any of the dealers here sell ones suitable?
Thanks.
This should give you at least an idea of how it will look.

The Ultimate LV from PT, Pam 111H from Angel & Jay - strap from Elliot, and my White MBW 1680 from

By-Tor:
Thank you for this great Post. I don't read the pinned stuff often enough.
This is OUTSTANDING!!
Thanks again.

I thought I would try the Black Strap for variety.
what do you think???
-
I suspect they didn't know the delivery timing when they sent their watches.
At this point people should be focused on facts and not opinions. There is no point in having folks who have not done business with Joe posting opinions. There are some pretty simple questions which forum members who have had recent transactions with Joe should answer:
If the work has been completed are you satisfied with the work?
If you are still waiting, how long has it been and have you been able to contact him?
I still have no sense (after six pages of postings) how many watches are with Joe waiting to be repaired and, other than Namor and a couple of others, how many people have had a bad experience on the mods or the repairs they received.
IMHO, anyone who is or has been involved with transactions with Joe and is reading this loop and not posting their own experience is not doing justice to other forum members. Facts are facts. Opinions are not helpful at this point.
