  1. yes to mod the inner walls are pretty easy. As long as you have the proper tools/skills to do it. But the OP is asking for OTB, not after modded. Me? i have modded my CG from Hmaker to make it "good enough". Im still not happy with it though. Anyway. No point to continue this. As i said before, To be happy get a N AND a H and merge the best parts of both. If not... well who knows.. i say N to this one.

  2. I dont like the inner walls of the CG. Not sharp at all. The lever pin could be more flushed as well. If someone looks at the watch it is noticable. And i hate that, since the watch is great in all other matters. If the 390 had a better CG it would be perfect.

Dont get me wrong. I sent my 390 to the zigmeister after two days to get it serviced, i knew this would be a keeper. Its a great watch. But if you want perfection.. get a better CG..

And to the OP. as i understand it Hmaker has this CG "issue" on most models (005). So it all depends how important this flaw is for YOU. The CG is the only reason i would get a n00b, since i hear they should be better. But then again i hear that Hmaker has better AR... and thats also a deal breaker..

As some say.. Buy both H and N and combine the best parts ;)

  3. Yes, but did you have "eyes on" it regularly over its final hours. If I were a betting man, accurate time-keeping went out the window around hour 50....

It is not uncommon to have a watch run beyond its reserve, but accurate timekeeping is probably constrained to its published numbers. They simply do not run spot on, and then stop cold. It is a slow gradual death so to speak.

I did look at it at the end, it was on my wrist all the time. But i will make sure to inspect the final hours closer next time. Thnx for the heads up.

  4. i just think that the closed caseback can make it not easily be noted that it is a rep.

or i should take the open caseback pam111 or pam112?

I would say that a open caseback (even if wrong movement) will make your watch look more gen!! Thats because the peeps that want to look at your watch HAVE NO IDEA what the movement should look like. And when they actually see the movement through the glass they will be like WOW, NICE, Great etc etc. But if you encounter a true WIS you are screwed. I wouldnt worry. You are fine either way.

  5. Buy a low priced 42mm watch and se how it wears or go try some at a AD. If you dont like going to the AD try the high street shops. For me the 42 looks small and 44+ looks big. But ofcourse that depends on the watch. Easy right? ;p I would try the Ebel 1911. Its 43.5mm and not to shulky. And its a AAAAAAAA+ rep ;P
