Hey Mike!
Happy Birthday from the team at RWG1.1 Have a great day, mate!

How about a Fiddy? It's less dressy than the 111 and less tacky than PVD Put it on a nice vintage-ised CaitlinII strap from Gunny and you've got a 'vintage' style PAM with a whole lot of style.
Here's mine (just a cheapie - not on the Gunny strap)

@ Ubi, nope debacle was for the travel bag... not arrived still BTW ...
but whats inside ?
L
A toaster oven?

Don't worry - Josh won't let you down. He's one of the most reliable dealers around.

It all depends on which gen and which rep.
For instance, the SOSF is as good a quality as my gen SMP overall, and nearly as good as the gen Planet Ocean I had. With gens, a lot of it has to do with the psychology of owning it, rather than the actual quality of the watch. I would even go as far to say that quite a few reps are on a par with brands such as Omega, Breitling, Rolex and Tag.
In terms of build quality, the reps really aren't that far behind. In terms of QC, movement reliability and water resistance they still trail, but a service and pressure test will sort that out.

My 'Ultimate' PAM111h is one of the best watches I've ever owned - rep or gen. Certainly superior to similarly priced watches from Rotary & Tissot that I've owned in the past.

Chris,
Respect is due for such an open and honest appraisal of your current situation - not to mention the apologies for recent problems.
Good luck with your restructuring and best wishes for a newly re-vitalised business. It'll be good to have one of our best dealers back on form again!

Same thing happens on eBay - about 1 in 6 fail to leave any kind of feedback in my experience
-
I used to try and wear them all in rotation - a different watch every day, but that's gradually changing and I'm tending towards wearing one particular watch for a week or more until I feel like a change. I've got 17 watches at present, but the only ones that seem to get wrist time these days are my PAMs and my Rolex DeepSea. I'm getting to the point where I'm seriously considering selling off most of the others... Hell, the last watch I bought (about a month ago - a budget but very nice-looking gen from Astbury) hasn't even been worn yet!
-
Absolutely stunning!
Congrats on a a very special watch - I'm seriously envious
-
edit: never mind, this ain't the right place.

And so the fun and games will start again, receive this order and start looking for what i want next....all the time thinking it will breeze through......
then start sweating when it gets held up!....does it ever get any easier??
Nope.
Glad your current order finally cleared, though

It's surprisingly easy to spend $500 on building a 111 without getting anything better than watches that are generally available. I'd start with a DSN 111, which already has decent lume/cannon pin and a good case, then upgrade CG + crown. Short of spending $1k on a Little Hero 111 that'll be as good as you'll see anywhere imho.

I've waited 7 business days for a watch to clear UK customs before now and I've brought at least 40 watches into the country over the last year. Last Friday to today is unexceptional given the holiday weekend. Don't worry, they're probably backed up again.

I think some people worry far too much about what other people think. Wear what you like to wear. End of story.

A bunch of clones wuth different screen names who are the same guy.
hmm, I thought we were talking about RWG, not RWS....
-
Last week, and for the very first time, I got called out in public. "Is that real?" said the guy in the bar. "No, it's a [censored]' tattoo," I replied in my best 'don't mess with me' voice. Lots of laughs. End of conversation.
-
Very nice work indeed - that's a stunning watch!

reminds me of Alfred E. Neumann....
.... and RWG1.1
-
hmm - I know damn all about Omegas, but isn't that date wheel out of alignment? (a common rep 'tell')

Thanks for all the replys
next question. eshopping88 on cqout. As anyone had any experience. I was thinking of buying a 7750 daytona and the cheaper planet ocean and longines grand vitessa.
DON'T!!!!
Seriously - if you want a decent rep at the right price with some chance of after-sales service should there be a problem, stay far, far away from cqout, ioffer and the like.
Take a look at the recommended dealers here - if a rep is available, one or more of them will be able to source it for you and you'll have a safety net should things go wrong (as they often do with 7750 daytonas - one of the least reliable reps in the marketplace, I'm afraid, due to the modifications needed for the 7750 to do seconds@6).

and better yet:
Buster Boomer (Honest - I didn't make that one up. Parents Steve and Maxine Boomer - used to live nearby. They saddled their kid with 'Buster' as a first name)

Just thank her for the offer but say no. If your wife is doing this "because she loves you and knows how much you want this watch" she'd buy it for you unconditionally. She still may if you give her that answer.
Face the reality, you are being treated like a child or worse yet, a pet dog, rewards for good behavior. Not uncommon, women do this with sex all the time, forcing some men to cheat on them. Basing a relationship on things instead of respect for each other.............its a slippery slope and one I wouldn't want to travel down in my marriage.........but to each his own. Not the way I'd want to live.

Absolutely. My current wife wouldn't dream of playing those kinda games, but my first tried it on several occasions (and failed). Under no circumstances should you accept the Daytona under those conditions. It's not a gift, it's a bribe imho.
-
That's the signal they broadcast for detection by the rep police. Expect black helicopters to arrive any time now...
I wouldn't worry too much - some asian 6497s are noisier than others. A good service may quieten it down some, but unless it really bugs you, it's probably fine to leave as is.

17 here
We're all a long way behind, though - there's a member over on my home board (rwg1.1) that used to have 80+. I think he's bought and sold a few since then, so no idea how many he has now.

Very nice indeed, and great value too. I've been tempted by one of those myself, but not sure that I'd wear it often enough (hardly ever wear anything but a PAM these days).
