The HBB was fashionable? News to me
Was just the last latest phase, folks - never caught it myself, glad to say. Good to be moving on...

AP for me
@Corgi
Love the Santos - really must get one myself.

STill this...
I'm not surprised you're still wearing that - it's a gorgeous thing.
Sigh - yet another watch on my 'want' list...

Hi,
Fallen in love with this watch ever since I saw it on Tag Heuer's official website. What Grand Carera is this and where can I get more info of it from?
Thank you all!
as others have said, it's available in quartz. Not bad either. If you can handle the idea of a quartz rep go take a look at Lawrence's site - houseofsouvenirs.com

There's a reason why there's a VC in my avatar
Vacheron Constantin Perpetual Retrograde Calendar

Flying B for me...

Nice job!
Very encouraging too as I'm trying to work up the courage to do a little work on one of my own watches...
Just waiting for the tools to arrive now

Have you noticed the real giveaway?
She ships via EMS....
Chinese rep here folks. Nothing to see. Move along...

Mine is currently my most-worn watch. Love it.

I just googled him the other day... seems he won a tennis match against agassi last year! well done!
Havnt heard from him for quite a while!
you're on the wrong forum to see him - he's around on RWG1 most days

Perfect Clones is great. Ultra-reliable. 7-8 delivery to the UK. No customs problems - Josh will replace the watch if it gets grabbed.

Personally, I want both

The real Breguet dials are silver in color, so why do all the reps with the guilloche patterns come with white dials? Is there some reason they can't rep the dials and make them silver colored?
hmm - the guilloche pattern Breguet rep I'm wearing right now is silver, as are a good many I've seen (although most tend to look white on a photo)...

I've not done it yet, but I'm seriously considering. Bought a Tag Grand Carrera Caliber 8RS GMT rep recently. Like it so much that I'm seriously considering buying a gen...

Welcome, Jack - newbie here myself. Good to see another Brit join up

Today: Tag
Tomorrow: Breguet

My wife tried that tack with me. I just looked at her and said "yes, Imelda".....
I then started mentioning necklaces, earrings and other jewelry. She got with the program pretty quick after that

Good looking watch mate.
I am waiting for the pics/review of the Calibre 17 (with Calibre 18 on the rotor :-) )
Cheers
hehe yeah - I rather fancy a Cal 17 myself too...
Funny thing is that I was never much of a Tag fan (apart from the Link), then all of a sudden I just go nuts for 'em - especially the Grand Carrera range. I'm seriously thinking of buying a gen. Go figure....

Thanks guys
Stephane: yep - the addiction never really goes away. Been interested in watches/clocks since I was a very small child. Never lost the fascination

Yes, I received a Grand Carrera Calibre 8 RS GMT at the end of last week. Very nice it is too.
Unfortunately I can't tell you where it came from as it was given to me by a friend who does a lot of business in China and just came back from a trip. Not a lot of help, I know, but at least it shows they exist...
Here's a photo - doesn't do it justice, though:

Hi all,
I've been lurking on here for a month or so but hadn't got around to posting, so figured it was time to correct that
I'm an active member over on RWG1 and first got into reps 5 or 6 years ago. I bought a handful of reps at the time (I still have one of them), and then gradually drifted onto other things. Recently got interested again and have really gotten bitten by the bug this time.
Other interests include Macintosh computers (I'm Admin of a Mac forum over on Yahoo) and Antiquarian books (the latter being the primary reason why I can't afford to buy a gen VC... lol).
I'm from the UK btw
Anyone know how to get an HP Laserjet 3150 All-in-1 printer to work with XP 64-bit?

Whilst it is sometimes possible to get unsupported laser printers working under XP64, with a multifunction machine you're basically screwed as a: it doesn't support postscript, so the generic PS driver won't work and b: the scanner driver would also be broken.
Frankly, I suspect the only reason why you're finding XP 64 to be faster and more reliable is that it's a fresh install. There are far too many gotchas with it in terms of hardware/software compatibility to make it terribly viable for corporate use. I evaluated it (and Vista x64) for our own purposes some time ago (I'm a senior manager/co-administrator of a medium sized charity and run our I.T. dept), and, after some considerable effort spent trying to get certain things working, concluded that it was completely unsatisfactory. A server OS is another matter, but not enough desktop applications/drivers in common corporate use are 64-bit aware.
Sorry, I know you don't want to hear this, but I suspect that you're only going to solve this by going back to XP 32-bit
