GUYS!!!!
I am so happy you are all here! Greg, I think it will all get worked out (again). We had a bad one back in June or around there and it was down for a few weeks. But Dems said that an anonymous donor paid up the hosting fees through January of 09 so I don't think that is it.
Thanks, John - good to find you here, mate.

Yeah, that is the reason we stopped it. We are now recounting the posts and it looks like you are ending at a post of around 260.

Nah, I don't think there is ill will here towards RWG1. That stuff was all a long time ago and nobody takes RWG1 seriously anyways - it is the Animal House of the rep forums. Just a fun place.
I know it is paid up till the end of the year - so it must be a technical problem. I imagine JB will talk to Blade and it will be up again. But I would like to seriously see about having him turn over the reigns to someone else. I would be willing to pony up some bucks for it to survive. And it won't take much of anyone's time - it runs by itself right now anyway. If it were on good software and a better server, it would be relatively problem free (I think - really don't know about this stuff).
going to pick up the pizza now - back in 30
As I've said before - if bucks is all it takes, I'll be glad to contribute, too.

Another refugee says hi...
Hoping this ain't the end - anyone heard from JB?
... and I was sooooooo close to powermax......

A 111h wears pretty big - it's a LOT bigger than the Rollie (I have a day/date too, and it feels tiny). It's really just down to what feels comfortable to you - so long as you're not 12 years old, it shouldn't _look_ too big - whether it _feels_ too big is really just down to personal preference.
Personally, my 111h is my most-worn watch. Love it.

It's a spurious malware report. Chrome obviously thinks that domain spreads malware - however, what it's picking up on is the domain hosting the avatar belonging to the OP. You can safely ignore it, but this is what you get from using beta software

There's another way of looking as this:
You start off dead. Enjoy the peace as it's the last you're going to get.
You wake up in a Nursing home. You pee yourself several times a day.
You gradually get to where you stop peeing yourself so you get kicked out.
You spend several years wishing you'd paid more into your retirement fund.
The gold watch you are given on your first day at work is Chinese.
You work 35-40 years or so, earning less money each year.
Your kids change from adults back into teenagers, with all the whining that ensues.
You finally become young enough to get back into school and are promptly beaten up by the school bully.
You have to learn algebra. Again.
You start peeing yourself. Again.
You spend 9 months floating in comfort, true, but the noise of stomach rumbling and farting keeps you awake
You finish off as "are you finished already?"

I'd be very happy if my son bought me a PAM113
-
Never mind anything else - 22 Panerais. In a year. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeit. I'd be in heaven.
Totally awesome collection you have there. I can see I have some catching up to do......

A third recommendation for Euorotimez - you won't go wrong with Chris.

sub dial spacing is almost always too close-set if quartz movement.
When watch is without chrono then quartz is quite ok, and if you can live with non sweeping second hand then why not.
Yeah, but when watch is without chronos, a 21J will do nicely. Chronos are where quartz reps make sense imho.

I have be plagued with automatic movement problems and am now considering a Quartz version with Mineral Crystal as an inexpensive reliable alternative. Some of the higher end Reps makers are now offering a Quartz version with the the same case and bracelet/ strap as the higher end but replacing the automovement with a quartz movement and sometimes replacing the saphire glass with a mineral crystal and making the rep 1/2 price. If I choose the 14 day shipping it is free. The Reps in question are the Oris Coste and the Graham Chronofighter. I don't care if the second hand is not smooth moving like on a 28 K beat watch. I want it to be reliable and I like the fact I don't have to wind it. ANy comments ?
I have a quartz AP ROO, which is a stunning looking watch and looks like real quality. Cost me under $100 and certainly beats the hell out of worrying about 7750 secs@12 problems. I still like my automatics, but quartz is very tempting for some of the more complex chronos...

3, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13
but basically, sell anything you want but keep the PAM and the VC....
-
The Santos is on my wish list too, but I particularly like that grey dial/strap combo. Very distinctive
-
Works every time - no scratches - much easier than rubber gloves. HERE
-
Reps are going to be 220 (for the real cheapies) and 316 for everything else. 904 is found in gen Rolex only, 440 is only gens - there are no reps made of 440l steel.

Anyone can tell me if there is any deliver based in Eu to bypass the custom problem in Italy?
Thanks a lot.
Carlo
Eurotimez, Precious Time, Homer, Narikaa are all EU-based.

A thing of beauty. Must buy one myself - currently my 111h is my favourite watch
-
My new PVD Chopard GTXL
Man, that's an impressive beast.
I'm still in love with my 111h
-
Newly-acquired Pam 111h
@Andei3000 - love the IWC - such a distinctive & stylish look
-
please, i'd like to know more about this watch.
to buy it
They're yet another of those companies who buy inexpensive Chinese-built replica watches, put their own name on them and sell them as their own designs at higher prices than you'd pay for a rep.
Don't bother - you can pick up several skeleton designs from most of the better rep dealers. You'll probably wind up paying less for 'em too.
-
I used to feel the same way about PAMs, but they grown on ya.....
Meantime, how about a Vacheron Constantin Overseas as an alternative to the Ingy?
-
I say Om"ee"ga you say Om"ay"ga, you say po"tat"o I say Pota"toe", you say to"mat"o and I say toma"to"
.... Let's call the whole thing off....

She may be the cutest thing I've seen all week, and I'm not even a big fan of dogs. Absolutely adorable!
Sorry for your loss, though.

Thanks for the welcome - much appreciated. My guess is that we were using far too much bandwidth. Maybe this can be sorted out with an upgrade of the hosting plan, maybe not - time will tell. Either way, I think I can speak for all of the guys when I say that we're glad rwg.cc is here
